I live in Texas and this is one thing I'm not wasting any CPU cycles on. If voting mattered, they wouldn't let you do it.

Another way to consider politics...
Who would go through all the great lengths to acquire power over other people and then just hand it over via election? That's not how power works.
Politics is a ruse to make people
a) think they're in charge when they're not
b) blame each other instead of the people enslaving them

If you're soooooo enslaved, why do you choose to live here?DanielVogelbach wrote: ↑Wed Jun 10, 2026 1:11 amAnother way to consider politics...

I don't get why people bitch, whine and complain about the system, while simultaneously enjoying all the freedoms afforded to them. Seems a bit hypocritical to me.

I really don’t care.XpertDBA wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2026 5:24 pmHas anyone ever asked SOB to define what a woman is? I'd like to hear his definition.
If someone wants to be a woman and wear dresses it’s no skin off my ass. Go live your fkn life… and if you walk by me down the street in Seattle, I’ll smile and go on living my life.
I just find it weird that adult Republican men spend so much time obsessing over trans issues. As I’ve echoed time and time again… obsessing over 19 teenage trans women playing high school sports seems to be an odd issue to ruin your day over.
Re: Paxton vs Talarico for Texas Senate
Yes, you don't care about having a definition of what a woman is. So why have legal definitions for anything, if that's the case. If anyone can believe they're anything, then why even have women's/men's sports separated in the first place? Men should box and MMA with women, right? Anyone who wants to protect woman, we should just 'go live our fkn life' and not worry about men kicking the shit out of women, because really they're all the same gender, because no one can define what a woman/man is. Gotcha.Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Wed Jun 10, 2026 4:38 pmI really don’t care.

And I’ll point out the hilarity of this being the issue Republicans have chosen to “protect women” over. We all know it’s a double whammy to pile on the queer community in the name of Christianity.XpertDBA wrote: ↑Wed Jun 10, 2026 4:51 pmYes, you don't care about having a definition of what a woman is. I’d rather help women get fair pay, hold men accountable for domestic violence and rape, promote equality in a number of spaces of importance… but hey, the 5’3 110lb boy that terrorized Walla Walla’s dreams over “he/her” playing volleyball… I’m sure that meant a lot more to women than the things I mentioned. I’m sure the vast majority of women are worried about their MMA careers not working out. So keep fighting the good fight
Re: Paxton vs Talarico for Texas Senate
Funny how you mention "help women get fair pay" as the first thing you'd fight for. Question: If you can't even define what a woman is, how are you going to fight for that? How are you going to even know if women are getting paid equally if you don't even know what a woman is. See how stupid you sound?Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Wed Jun 10, 2026 5:09 pmAnd I’ll point out the hilarity of this being the issue Republicans have chosen to “protect women” over. If you're talking about what 99.9% of us think a woman is (an adult female that is of the nature to give birth), then you can't even prove unequal pay because:
Men work more hours on average.
Men are more likely to work overtime.
Men are more likely to work physically dangerous jobs.
Men dominate many of the highest-paying industrial fields.
Men are more likely to work in the STEM fields which pay more.
Women are more likely to prioritize flexibility or careers compatible with family responsibilities.
Women earn more college degrees overall today, but degree type matters enormously for pay.
So good luck fighting something that will never be 'equal', because the comparison is laughable.
Maybe you want your mother working as a coal miner, logger, or septic tank laborer - that wouldn't suprise me a bit.

You know why you find it weird? Because trans playing on girls' teams is WAY down the list of issues and nowhere close to an "obsession" for adult Republican men but you, as you always do, pretend that it is just like you pretend that people here worship Donald Trump so that you can offer fake straw man rebuttals that don't work on people who are a lot smarter than you are.Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Wed Jun 10, 2026 4:38 pmI just find it weird that adult Republican men spend so much time obsessing over trans issues. And even as a minor issue, it is an issue for the girls who have to compete against those who have the advantage of being male so it has to be addressed.
As for Talarico, I have no opinion of the guy and know nothing about him beyond that he looks like a goofball.

You say that, but a 70 year old man in Walla Walla was so invested that he had 10+ articles saved to share with us on this very subject and it was a BIG concern to him.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 10, 2026 5:57 pmYou know why you find it weird? Fine, it’s an issue. But one worth elevating to it being a major policy platform for Republicans in the ‘24 election? Enough to elevate Riley Gaines as some martyr to speak at Republican rallies?
Ahead of many other issues far more important to women in this country?
Idk you tell me…

How can we answer you, when you can't even tell us what a women is? How do you know what issues are impacting women, when you can't even define a woman?
