Not only what Freddie talked about in that vid but every Astro hitter basically made a statement that we don't think we are good enough to beat you fair and square.
I don't take it as an admission of inferiority. I just take it to mean they were willing to cheat to win. They're cheaters. It will be interesting to see how they perform this year. I would love to see them fail miserably, but I think they'll probably still be playing at a high level, probably laser focused to prove everyone that they can win without cheating.
I think of fans complaining about players fraternizing or whatever, you are supposed to be ultra competitive, hate each other, this is where that gets you, anything goes, all that matters is winning. At the end of the day, its a game.

Deployed in away games

That’s new isn’t it. He states that and then doesn’t explain how

but stealing signs is not illegal, if the FO came up with a system that didn't involve electronic equipment that is within the rules of the game seems to me.

wondering if that was what happened, it was having all these smart guys with time on their hands. They work on systems to steal signs, clever stuff, but would have been legal. Then the plan sort of drifts around, gets enlarged on, lower staff run with it, add the cameras. It is being smart by half. It is interesting to me in the sense of things that become collective thinking and get out of hand.

Exactly and not a soul stood up and said, "if we get busted we are screwed" or just "we don't need to do this, we are already better hitters than anyone else" or plain ole, "this is just wrong, I don't want to be involved."

With PEDs it was individual decisions and was obviously done in private, but this was all hands on deck. Maybe peer pressure got to the potential dissenters.

This season will require patience to watch a young team with mr potatoe head as the manager. I look forward to the coming taunts to the visiting Astros whenever they play on the road and the creative fun that’s bound to be played out in stadiums across the country.

Mini bats and mini garbage cans could be a hot seller on the way in to the game......lol
