Why TF you crackers ridin' on Naylor. He's my favorite player. I like Pereda too. I don't want him sent down.

Probably b/c he keeps popping out to the IF with no outs and runners on base.

On the way back to the hotel the Mariner team bus needs to stop at Walgreens and pick up some Stridex pads for Colt. Kid's got some bubble wrap going on there.

He's only in his third season, he's not going anywhere.

Soccer? I'd rather go down to the local superstore and watch the chickens go around on the rotisserie
To be fair, watching chickens on the rotisserie sounds quite fun compared to many sports. I'd subscribe to a channel that broadcasts that.

Glad you saw the humor in that - I imagine soccer means more to you, being European.

Interesting... for as good as Pereda has been since Cal went down, Garver might actually have been better

Since Cal went on the IR

Better is relative.

Pereda is being forced into more AB's vs right handed pitching since Cal landed on the IL. Pereda (albeit a small sample size) has been a better hitter vs righties and lefties...but he's just at the disadvantage of having to face righties more which hurts his overall stats compared to Garver.

Garver:

Pereda:

Flip their roles and it's not particularly close...

Pereda has also been the better defender.

I also like the fact that Pereda is controlled and way younger. Not sure why you'd DFA him to be picked up by another team when he's a great backup and can be for years to come.
