It didn't take this clown show ownership group long to destroy the Kraken name and turn their brand into a joke. And they want to own the Sonics too? Holy shit...

So all the pundits are gushing about first round pick Chase Reid, some expressing amazement that he slipped to #7 and calling him the best defenseman in the draft. Hope they're right and this isn't another Shane Wright deal.
So, what to do with the 22 million since they can't use 15 of it on Robertson?

Put it into better scouting?DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 27, 2026 8:49 pmSo all the pundits are gushing about first round pick Chase Reid, some expressing amazement that he slipped to #7 and calling him the best defenseman in the draft. Hope they're right and this isn't another Shane Wright deal.

Original Kraken players Schwartz (signed with the Gravelanche) and Oleksiak (signed with the Canuckleheads) are gone. Guessing that XPertDBA will be popping the champagne on Oleksiak.
They also signed (at low cost) a 6'9" guy to beat up other teams' players when they get out of line. His name isn't even important, just the fact that he'll deliver slobber-knockers.
That's three more steps in the right direction.

I liked Schwarz......although like everyone on the Kraken lineup, he's JAG. Yes, I'm thrilled that Oleksiak is finally dust. He was just so cringe to watch try and play defense with all of these quicker, smarter players running circles around him.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 02, 2026 6:38 pmOriginal Kraken players Schwartz (signed with the Gravelanche) and Oleksiak (signed with the Canuckleheads) are gone. I'm afraid the Kraken are destined to become the Seattle Mariners of the NHL - most of the time in the cellar with tiny sparks of hope every now and then. The fact that Beniers and Wright have not panned out as superstars shows you just how bad this front office has been at evaluating talent.

I liked him too, but he's 33, missed a lot of games last season, and he had to go. Have to do what Vegass does in those situations.XpertDBA wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2026 7:29 pmI liked Schwarz......although like everyone on the Kraken lineup, he's JAG.
