I don't think Wilson makes it past the all-star break. It needs to happen sooner than later if they're serious about salvaging the season.

Unfortunately, he's not the only issue. They need to take a good hard look at the architect who put this team together. Roster construction has been abysmal for years under Dipoto.

You're right and especially more likely if the next two games follow suit. Right now you can't see where the next win is coming from.

Dipoto will see no other option but to create smoke and mirrors and push his mate overboard before anyone looks at him.

Buf if Jerry were to fire Dan, the ultimate enactor of his managerial philosophy, wouldn't that be a career-threatening self indictment? I think he would rather gamble that the rest of the division continues to struggle and the Mariners stumble into the playoffs with 85 wins or whatever.

Yep there is zero chance Dan gets fired given the success he had last season. Look at how long Servais lasted....

You’re usually right brother but watching the team’s behavior and performance on this road trip is a massive red flag that significant change is needed
