The owner of Nintendo (back in the 1990's) will also be in the top 50 since he is the one that purchased the team and spearheaded the new stadium.
I didn't think of non-playing personnel being on the list. If so, I doubt that any owners will make the list, and the only management I can see making it is Lou Piniella (although you could certainly argue that Pat Gillick would be more deserving).
I don't know, you may be right. But in reality, there are not any more than 25-30 players that are 'actually' worth mentioning.

I really couldn't care less about the Top 50 Mariners of all time. For one thing, I think the bottom half of that list is probably pretty sketchy. There just haven't been that many significant Mariners careers. It also doesn't help that some of your better farm system products were traded away early on, like Ketel Marte, Adam Jones, and Shin Soo-Choo.
Very good point, 50 is too many and should only be reserved for franchises like the Yankees and Dodgers. I mean, who's going to be our #50? Erik Hanson? Jose Lopez? Compare that to the Yankees' and Dodgers' #50s who would probably be great players like Roy White and Davey Lopes.

Pretty pathetic organization.

Griffey ran away.
Arod followed the money.
Randy wanted out.

We pretty much have Edgar, Ichiro, and Felix and a bunch of non-Mariners.

That's one unarguable fact, we do root for easily the least-successful MLB organization of these past 50 years. What's funny is that the second least-successful is the Milwaukee Brewers and where did that franchise start?

It could be worse though, we could be Cleveland Browns' fans. Imagine what THAT'S like.

My personal top 5...

Jack Perconte
Scott Spiezio
Al Martin
Eric Bedard
Carl Everett
Jack Perconte was actually one of my favorite Mariners back in those days. Not a good player, but I liked him. Can also throw in Rey Quinones, Jim Presley, Spike Owen, Tony Bernazard, etc. Not exactly household names, but they were my childhood.

I am also in the minority, but I loved those Mariners uniforms back in the "Perconte" days.

I don't know, paying all that money the the massage groper, or paying the kind of money we are paying to Cal, Julio and Colt? I mean, we have a self imposed salary cap, so the way we throw money away is very Cleveland Brownesque.

The Browns threw 230 million dollars at DeShaun Watson as he was being accused of sexual misconduct by over two dozen women, and he's played 19 out of 80 games. At least our guys are well-behaved, actually take the field and have contributed (although more would be really nice). The Browns are in their own league, and that's why when you eat a bad burrito you then have to go take the Browns to the Super Bowl.

I wonder where Ketel Marte, Edwin Diaz, Freddy Peralta, Pablo Lopez, Chris Taylor, and even guys like Tylers O'neill and Yarbrough would rank on that list.

I'd take most of those players over most of the "Top 50 Mariners".

Dipoto really effed us.

Maybe some of you human search engine guys that can pull obscure gotcha posts from YEARS ago can find it. lol
Well I tried but the search utility for this site is all fugged up...
The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: top mariners 50.
You must specify at least one word to search for. Each word must consist of at least 3 characters and must not contain more than 14 characters excluding wildcards.
