or you could say he was subtracted by them starting his FA clock a season earlier than it needed to be by bringing up for a cup of coffee in 1994

Draft choices? I don't think they can afford to rely on rookies again. Need proven pass rushers. Gotta spend some $$$D-train wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2020 3:13 amA few D line draft suggestions in this PI piece:

Especially since they will probably trade all the way out of the first round.ThePro wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2020 10:45 pmDraft choices? I don't think they can afford to rely on rookies again. From that list I go with either of the LSU products. DE will get solved in FA, so that's 1 less priority you have to worry about come April. Center is generally not a highly coveted position when it comes to the draft. In the last 10-20 years, how many Centers have been drafted in the 1st or even 2nd rounds. Plus the fact that he was a captain on that team is a huge plus in my book. Definitely has the size we covet. I know Safety isn't a pressing need, can't hurt to have too many of those, would make it easier to cut McDougald. Looking at recent history, I'd say you can't go wrong going with a LSU DB (ala Patrick Peterson & Honey Badger Mathieu). Question is will he be available that late in the first.

Delpit *might* be there at 27, might not - before the season he was thought of more as a top 15 type. but unless he is truly that much of a difference maker, i dont see pulling the trigger on him at 27, as there is a much bigger void at Center what with Diggs, Blair, and MacDougald (for another year at least) finally settling the back end issues. and the center depth and quality in the draft seems to be very good (LSU guy, Biadasz, Ruiz, or later, Harris), so i can easily see JS moving back again as usual.

If Delpit is there at #27 ( seriously doubt it) Hawks are drafting him. No ifs , ands or buts about it.57reasons wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2020 5:35 pmDelpit *might* be there at 27, might not - before the season he was thought of more as a top 15 type. but unless he is truly that much of a difference maker, i dont see pulling the trigger on him at 27, as there is a much bigger void at Center what with Diggs, Blair, and MacDougald (for another year at least) finally settling the back end issues. and the center depth and quality in the draft seems to be very good (LSU guy, Biadasz, Ruiz, or later, Harris), so i can easily see JS moving back again as usual.

You can still get a center with one of your 2 2nds. If they address the DL in FA then I'd be more comfortable taking a guy like Delpit.57reasons wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2020 5:35 pmDelpit *might* be there at 27, might not - before the season he was thought of more as a top 15 type. but unless he is truly that much of a difference maker, i dont see pulling the trigger on him at 27, as there is a much bigger void at Center what with Diggs, Blair, and MacDougald (for another year at least) finally settling the back end issues. and the center depth and quality in the draft seems to be very good (LSU guy, Biadasz, Ruiz, or later, Harris), so i can easily see JS moving back again as usual.
