Not every black man from the ghetto is a punk just as every white man from the South isn't a redneck. But look at the people he hangs out with and what they did on his behalf.

Do you understand why ML was available for trade? Hit and run of a pedestrian, gun violation. He then went on to DUI arrest. If we are going to apply strict standards of behavior theres no way we trade for marshawn

This was the primary reason Lynch was trade. There were some minor legal issues but no way the Bills trade him of he was the only lead back they had.
Roster Crowding and PerformanceThe Rise of Fred Jackson: While Lynch had strong 1,000-yard seasons early on, he lost his primary starting role during the 2009 season to Fred Jackson, who outperformed him in key metrics and gained the trust of the coaching staff.Drafting C.J. Spiller: The Bills utilized their number nine overall draft pick in 2010 to select running back C.J. Spiller. This made Lynch the third running back in a system where the front office felt "three is a crowd".

Legal and NFL FalloutPlea Deal: Lynch pleaded guilty in traffic court to a non-criminal violation for "failure to exercise due care toward a pedestrian".Penalties: He was fined $100 and had his New York State driver's license revoked.League Stance: NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell did not suspend or discipline Lynch because the incident was handled as a traffic violation rather than a criminal conviction.

How about MM? You think he would bring in anybody possible just to get a football player? Do you buy into mikes vision for the team or is he a BSer?

Karl Scott, the Seahawks' defensive backs coach and defensive passing game coordinator, recruited Arnold to Alabama. Jalen Milroe, Seattle's No. 3 quarterback, is a close friend and former college teammate. The Seahawks spoke to them and several others about Arnold, including former Alabama coach Nick Saban and ex-NFL defensive back Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, who now works for the school as the football program's director of player development.

,"It's overwhelmingly positive, it really is," Macdonald said of the feedback Seattle received on Arnold. "Again, it's a serious situation. There's allegations there that are serious. If you separate that from the person that they talk about [him being] on a daily basis and their history with him, it's been overwhelmingly positive."

"We had a great visit," Macdonald said. "We had a great discussion. It was a real discussion. We just kept it real. I have a responsibility coming from the organization about what we expect and also what our vision would be for him and how it would operate, and he was great. He was great. I appreciated his honesty in those moments, and that's really all you could ask for."

Reasons for the Trade

Off-field issues: Lynch faced character concerns and a three-game suspension in 2009 following an offseason arrest.

Loss of starting job:
After his suspension and subsequent struggles, Lynch lost his starting role to Fred Jackson.

Fresh start needed:
Lynch had fallen out of favor in Buffalo, and both the player and the team needed a fresh start.

Low trade return:
Seattle capitalized on the low value, acquiring a talented young player for mid-round draft compensation.
