Recall Charges Filed against Seattle's Village Idiot

Post by auroraave » Thu Aug 13, 2026 2:23 pm

Finally there are signs of life in Seattle's cerebral cortex. The most unqualified and utterly moronic Seattle Mayor in history, Katie Wilson, now faces the backlash of her staggering ineptness and incompetence.

AN honest question for everyone - how does someone so inexperienced, so clueless, so incompetent, so devoid of ANY qualifications, actually get elected? Ignore dem/rep for a moment - how does this happen? Who would support someone so brazenly unqualified? I just don't get it. Are seattle's elections rigged? Seriously, how on any level does this happen? The continued downgrade and destruction of America's metropolitan areas on full display - it's almost like this is intentional. This is like the seahawks just pulling somoene off the street who knows nothing about football to coach the team. It makes no sense on any level at all. Literally zero qualifications.

I cannot wrap my mind around how anyone so fucking stupid has the keys to the kingdom in seattle - because people actually VOTED for this level of incompetence. DId anyone on here actually vote for this complete retard?

Please discuss.

This YouTube comment seems pretty accurate:

"The people who voted for her are what’s wrong with Seattle."

I didn't vote for Wilson. I was OK with Harrell, so I voted for him. I thought he was a pretty good mayor.

Of course I know people who voted for Wilson. I'd say they fall into two camps. One are those who wanted the more "leftist" of the two candidates, and thought that addressing homelessness and transportation, for example, required more radical approaches. I think a lot of this group viewed Harrell as just another part of the "establishment" that is pro-corporate, pro-billionaire, and not addressing the needs of real people/working people (which of course is a standard Bernie Sanders talking point).

The second group of people I know are just kind of unhappy with the status quo regarding things like crime and homelessness, and didn't think Harrell did enough. So they voted for a new approach, without regard to the "socialist" label. I think the idea is that an "outsider" can get things done.

In general, I think voters undervalue competence when picking a candidate.

No question. But politics isn't usually about the best candidate, it's more of a popularity contest. Or at the very least, what is trendy. Rather than vote based on platforms, people go with the flavor of the week. The truth is that it's a no-win situation, for two reasons.

1. People are too lazy to inform themselves, so have no idea who to vote for.
2. The candidate usually waffles. Promise something, fail to deliver. Or had no intention of doing that at all. Just lazy speak.

This is literally the best and worst quote on here in a long time. The best because it is so accurate. The worst because it is so accurate. This is seriously a t shirt. Print 'em Gil, I'll buy one!

It's shocking that 'emotions" and propoganda's influence are so strong. Iphone effect - add in medication and a culture of isolation - what else would you expect? Sheer stupidity and the loss of critical thinking. Institutions of higher "learing" are only making it exponentially worse. See the Cambridge Post for exhibit A.

Hopefully some folks are figuring it out.

Anyone remember when the Dem's had thier first 'debate' and Kamala was so bad she garnered 1% support. ONE PERCENT. She was literally the worst candidate in the mix. This is not my opinion, this is not about left/right/dem/rep/ This is literally what happened. Remember the Dems trotting out THE WORST candidate they had - and tried telling you how great she was? Oh, and they gave her over a billion dollars too. For someone who got 1% approval.

That's how fucking stupid people have become. Literally SEEING WITH YOUR OWN EYES someone is shown to 100% be the the worst candidate - and people trying to convince you your eyes are deceiving you. That is where we are at.

I can't stand what Trump is doing and I cannot figure out why he has become so compromised, but if I had to do it all over again I would still vote for him over the human word sald who - LITERALLY - was the Dems worst possible candidate - by THEIR OWN metrics. Stop iunsulting my intelligence.

Just like Seattle's current buffoon in charge - stop insuting my intelligence by suggesting this brainless, witless twat is qualified - by ANY metric other than "oh, hey, it has a pulse!"

Can't disagree with that, it was how Trump got elected in 2016. Hillary Clinton was experienced, intelligent, and the best candidate for the Dems except that she was also very unlikable. Along comes Trump with no political experience but with all his fame and pizzazz (and to be fair, a lifetime of being in charge) BOOM, he's President.

Same with Arnold Schwarzenegger ending up as California's governor. Most people even today just love the hell out of the guy, even more so back then and he was able to obtain that office despite sounding like a total goofball.

Yeah, that was going to be my point. I assumed i would get ripped for it. The question could be applied to the highest office in the country.

And its not Trump its us, its "I have met the enemy and its us", thats who we vote for. My take is its not merely looking past inexperience, its actually a rejection of it. Being qualified is determental. Its about personality and rejection of the status quo. And what really strikes me is how 3rd world style its becoming. The chaotic quality, the battle lines, the rejection of institutions, the cult of personality. Its how politics is run in places like the philippines.

What is lacking is getting paid for your vote. Remember the gf going to get what she was owed one time. Its a totally open system. Everybody gets envelopes, this was a small election, small town. And its an honor system. I dont think anybody cares that much to not vote properly. She came back with like $25 in pesos. It surprised the heck out of me, it was a lot of money! How can they afford to pay it? Its wealthy families that run the elections, own the town. With all the money it takes to get elected in america they should just hand it out. Be a much better system

I'm not sure what qualifications Trump lacked other than "being a politician" which was probably the most appealing thing about him. But apparently some of you just can't stand having a President that keeps his promises and does what he campaigned on. If you voted for him and are unhappy then you are either ignorant of the things he has accomplished or you disagreed with the policies he campaigned on but were so entranced with his personality and charisma you didn't care. For those who are complaining because you have to pay more for a gallon of gas and groceries now than you did prior to the Iran conflict, all I can say is grow up and understand that there are more important things than your immediate needs and comfort and that if you want to preserve civilization as we know it then sacrifices have to be made. Past generations have had to deal with so much worse, but those people were somehow able to see the bigger picture and care about their children's future more than their own present. Never mind that cost of living has been artificially low the past 40 years due to everything you buy being manufactured by virtual slave labor in China. Most of you didn't care, but now that this massive industrial capability and technical know-how that was handed to them by some of the worst leaders this country has ever had, I'm sure at least a few of the more discerning, less addled among you can put things into perspective.

You still believe in Trump?!?!?

Yeah he really drained the swamp. Lol.

Politics is a stage show. It's not real. Aurora's post is just more proof of this.

If anything were real about politics, then it wouldn't be so divisive. The candidates would be smart, likable, sensible. Good ideas would prevail. etc. etc. etc. But, it's not real. It's fake. The ruling class doesn't give two shits who you vote for. All they care about is that you believe in their right to rule over you and that you OBEY. Voting is the biggest obedience ritual going.

Voting will never disrupt tyranny. The only thing that works is non-compliance.

If voting mattered, they wouldn't let you do it. Trump has no power. He's an absolute minion of the system an absolutely NOTHING has changed during his two terms of office. "Government" is still going the exact same direction.
