I still hate losing 8/16GT
Re: I still hate losing 8/16GT
Damnnn if only we could play these cheaters all the time we would have a fantastic record. Sux bout gm 1 but massive series win. Facing best team in the game next. Minus Mis which is huge.

In this series, Andres Munoz twice struck out Taylor Trammell, with whom Munoz was traded to the Mariners in August 2020:

They left a lot of runners on base. Failed to get the timely hits. Still a great win.

Logan Gilbert's last outing was blanking the Yankees over 6 innings with 7 strikeouts and 1 walk.
Miller can rise to the occasion. He's entering his next start with a 0.99 WHIP, 3.39 ERA, and 84 strikeouts in 85 innings pitched.
The Mariners just need to put it all together and go on a run. Just imagine if Raleigh can finally remember how to swing a bat!

Mariners win! We're HEROES!!!
They should formally request that the league declare the series a sweep because the Asstros didn't earn or deserve to win the first game. Why not? We'd totally embarrass them and there are zero consequences. Seriously, DO IT.

Unfortunately Miller is gassed. In his last six starts he's been lit up pretty badly and his ERA has climbed from 1.71 to 3.39. Seems like he's cooked for this year.DanielVogelbach wrote: ↑Mon Aug 17, 2026 3:09 amMiller can rise to the occasion. I texted my buddy in Tennessee that exact same thing. We're both fed up.
But, somehow they held on for the win. Munoz was hurling gas for the save.
Tuesday, to Milwaukee to face the 77-48, MLB best team. What will go wrong?
Rocky Colavito is a Hall of Famer in my book!

Im not firing him because of a disapointing season. I dont want to be that reactive about it. This stuff really comes down to communication, most business situations do. Dipotos job isnt choosing talent, its enabling communication. He has a staff to handle talent. The question is how well is that functioning? Theres seems to be a lot of evidence of it working pretty well actually. I think theres probably teams out there envious with how dipoto has things running. But i dont know, maybe theres friction behind it. Maybe the communication is an issue. But saying, this team sucks. Lets fire dipoto and see if some other guy can do better at it isnt a plan to me.AT Fresno wrote: ↑Sun Aug 16, 2026 7:54 pmSo.....what's your evaluation of the entire situation?Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sun Aug 16, 2026 7:46 pmIm not looking to fire Dipoto. Its not the same thing as firing a manager or trading a player. Its more about tossing everything out and starting over. You need to take stock of the entire situation
That being said, i dont particully like the guy. And i wouldnt shed tears over his getting fired. Hes been at it a really long time, theres that too.
