Oh, I'm totally going to be the Alaska Nazi, no bullshit stuff. My biggest challenge will be in getting my wife onto the Mount Juneau tram. She's done the one in Palm Springs and that one goes way up to 10K so Juneau can't be that bad.

You know what the politicians always say. They blame their lack of results on the predecessor.
In this case, there could be some legitimacy. If you shorten the window to 2022-2025 he's not only converting 50%, but he's winning post season series.
2026 team isn't cooked yet. Let's see what happens against the Brew Crew.

LOL your takes are so insane. So even though he was given a great core of Felix and Paxton and Cano and Cruz and Seeger we're going to throw out the first 6 years of his Regime of Terror And patheticness. And even then he's worse than Cleveland and Tampa Bay.DanielVogelbach wrote: ↑Tue Aug 18, 2026 7:39 pmYou know what the politicians always say. They blame their lack of results on the predecessor.

Somebody explain Jake Bauers to me. Has a position player ever sucked so badly his entire career and then at 30 suddenly became an all-star?
What was really crazy was that in 2021 he hit only two home runs in 201 plate appearances, and one of them was the longest home run the Mariners hit that season.

I find his career kind of interesting. He's basically not very good but at the same time he's been just good enough to maintain his roster spot and put himself in a position to have an outlier season at age 30, which should give him at least one more year. I wouldn't put it past him to get a full ten years in.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 18, 2026 8:59 pmSomebody explain Jake Bauers to me. I don't think you can look at the Cano contract as some massive benefit he inherited. It was more like something he had to work around. I also don't think Felix was ever that good under Jerry Dipoto. Here are the numbers of this great "core" piece you speak of.D-train wrote: ↑Tue Aug 18, 2026 7:51 pm

It's also not "insane" to say that you will get COMPLETELY DIFFERENT analysis if you look at the past 5 years versus the past 10. It's just simple math.

Agree regarding Felix but a 3.82 era was solid 2016. What you doing, there is a phrase for it. Its called Cherry picking. Is Jerry a relative of yours or what?DanielVogelbach wrote: ↑Tue Aug 18, 2026 11:42 pmI don't think you can look at the Cano contract as some massive benefit he inherited.
