Yeah, lets save the season! Its really a pretty incremental improvement at best. Dipoto is burning a season of elgibility. Is it being desperate?
"This late-season promotion therefore starts his service-time clock with only a partial year in 2026. The Mariners retain the normal six years of control after he begins accumulating full seasons, effectively preserving an extra year of club control compared to an early-season call-up that would have given him nearly a full year in 2026."

MLB service time works in days: a player needs 172 days on the active roster or injured list during the regular season to earn one full year of service. Six full years are required for free agency.

OK i must have misread that. Hes pitched 90 innings so far this season, he pitched 120 the season before. Be interesting how many more innings he has in him. So Woo is experiencing shoulder discomfort

Not going to do much to move the needle because he doesn't hit. This will be good to get a gauge of how ready he is and pave the way for some possible trades in the off season.

Yep, this is a publicity stunt hoping to bring people to the crowd. Like the old days when the stadium was full for Felix.

Last in the AL in -
Runs scored
Doubles
RBI
Batting Average

Second to last in the AL in -
Hits
SLG %

Third to last in the AL in -
On Base Percentage

And the 5th most strikeouts in the AL.

All of this, but bringing up a LH Starting Pitcher is going to save the season. Can't wait for all the commercials and social media posts celebrating this glorious day by the kinds of PR Seattle Mariners.
