Lock is in the last year of his contract. If they had to negotiate an extension that really would be the nail in milroes future. Hes got to at least step into that role

Huard disappointed in the play of the WR depth. That seems a little concerning combined with the injuries

If nothing else you would assume Milroe would evolve into the number two qb going into year three. If that doesnt happen then it would be disappointing
MIlroe's is a baffling player. I don't understand why he isn't running his ass off, but he must beleive that will hurt his 'development - which is reasonable - but is also the wrong way of thinking as running is your biggest asset and really stresses defenses.
If you saw the latest episode of Hard Knocks - they show MM talking to Milroe about running more. Milroe basically said he'd rather share the wealth, or some shit like that meaning he wants to throw it. MM went on to explain how a running QB completely fucks with the defense and he should run more. I'm not making this up. MM would know as both a defensive minded coach and a coach on the team with one of the best running QBs of all time in Lamar. Milroe is Seneca Wallace 2.0. He's a bust.

Except intelligence is considered one of his stronger atributes.

MIlroe's competition has been a starter and played in the league for a few years now. Lock is pretty servicable. I think MIlroe's biggest obstacle is never getting onto the field for a full game with the starters - to have it all on his back - for a length of time to settle in and get comfortable. You have to play and it's probably better to play longer stretches and ideally with the first team. He may do that and still fail, but playing 1/2 of preseason games with back-ups - just is not the sample size to be graded on. ALso, Seattle is under no real pressure to develop him quickly. He is a baffling player. I don't understand why he isn't running his ass off, but he must beleive that will hurt his 'development - which is reasonable - but is also the wrong way of thinking as running is your biggest asset and really stresses defenses.

We'll trade him to cleveland where he'll be the starter in three weeks and somehow flourish
The minor flaw with that argument is if you are playing with starters you are playing against a #1 Defense vs. 2s and 3 like he has been and still looking completely incompetent.

Seneca threw for almost 5k yards and 31 Tds. Milroe will be lucky to throw for 500 yards and 1 TD.

How dare anyone besmirch Seneca Wallace, the greatest Seahawk quarterback EVER (to come out of Iowa State)! Damn thee besmirchers!

Yep, just watch him try to process what is going on. I mean, it's not as bad as Sam Howell, but it's pretty bad. He is nothing more than a gadget right now, and based on the turnovers he committed last year being a gadget guy? I'd say they probably want to Practice Squad him, but know that someone will grab him if they do.
