First game I’ve been able to watch in almost two weeks due to a family-related issue, it was enough time to forget how frustrating this team is to watch, even when they get the W.

Laz has single handedly renewed my love of baseball! Might be my fav Mariner of all time when it is all said and done.

Agreed! But I almost laughed when I heard his OPS against LHP in the minors this season was in the .500's.

A guy that actually fits Dipoto's platoon mold, just as he's about to be fired.

.660 in AAA. Pretty normal for a LH power hitter. And Jerry isn't getting fired. Praying I am wrong. I would rather have a guy with a .660 vs LHPs and a .900+ over all than a guy at .750 vs both LH are RH which obviously .750 Overall.

Laz was a highlight, for sure. But I don't want him to be some version of Dae Ho Lee where he comes in and mashes for a month until they figure out how to pitch to him and his OPS drops 300 points. But I agree that he might be the one bright spot in an otherwise dismal season.

From soup to nuts, this was not a great game by the Mariners. They scratch together a winning run against the worst team in baseball after coughing up their early lead.

This was literally a fight for who is the worst, and we barely came in second. Just awful.

Totally agree. weird comp with Lee who was 13 years older....and a Jerry scrap heap pick up vs a top prospect. Laz was 11 yo that season...
