The randomness of the league. The Falcos score 16 points in their first two games and then pour it on the Fudge Packers last night. I'd like to think that Penix was the difference, but I'm quite sure that the only reason was because my fantasy football opponent has Bijan Robinson.

Good to see that the Hawks are mostly immune to such randomness, with the only exception being the game against the Dolts last season. Even the three losses were all understandable.

What do you think is Seattle's first loss this season?

That's a good question, we've got a really tough four-game gauntlet coming up starting with the Whiners at home. It would be a total shock to see us going 4-0 in those games and even 3-1 would be a hell of an accomplishment. I'm worried about all four of those opponents, and I'd pick the Whiners to knock us off except that they just lost Bosa for a few games so instead I'll go with the Donkeys as we've always had a difficult time winning in Denver (6-22).

I wouldn't be surprised to see us lose to the Chefs as well, but we play the Donkeys first so it's them. How about your pick?

I'd go with the 9ers - they are a top dog in the NFCW and they will be ultra motivated. They have the talent. I think Denver is overrated - our record there is wildly misleading - that stems from our shitty AFCW days and seattle was mostly hot garbage. KC is in Seattle - both games can be lost but I like Seattle in those matchups. Can KC hold up to the relentless punching in the mouth this defense will dish out? Can they stop Seattle's offense? Is mahomes healthy enough to play scramble drill? Bears are interesting if Caleb is playing - his ability to Russell Wilson could be difficult for SEattle to manage - and anything can happen on those broken plays.

There is no sports team I loathe more than the Donkeys - and it stemmed from my childhood of Denver's Gospel Donkey Elway always owning us. Luckily, as an adult I have seen us totally dominate them over the last decade - plus. One of my best friends is the biggest donkey fan in the world - nothing felt better than 43-8 and his somber consolation call after the game - after predicting a Denver blowout and me laughing.
