Sure that is what Gabe is saying. But how in the world does a word with the root of reaction mean resistant to change. Another word that makes no sense is invaluable which means VERY valuable. "IN" before a word almost always means the opposite of the word alone like invalid, indirect or independence and many others.

I think the word gained meaning as a pejorative for people that were against political change, that were "reacting" in a negative way to modern political ideas.

Yes, not spending is one thing....throwing money down the toilet and then crying poor is pathetic.

As for Wilson announcing his own exit? Wyman and Bob had an interesting theory on this yesterday, or maybe the day before. I don't remember. BUT...they said that maybe he wanted to do his final press conference, and figured that was the time to let everyone know? I kind of doubt that is it, but I guess we really don't know.
