It's literally saying you can't tackle QBs like you can tackle any other player.

C'mon now, what he should've done is the ol' bear hug and gently pull'em to the ground maneuver.

Good on MM for taking the high road. Sounds like some in the league are taking a different stance....when they can remain anonymous!

https://x.com/Schultz_Report/status/210 ... 54462?s=20
NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported a massive wave of league-wide frustration from coaches and executives regarding the current state of NFL officiating.
Key Frustrations

• "An embarrassment for football": Sources around the league unloaded on the poor quality of play management and flags during Week 4 games.

• "Making it about themselves": Executives feel that officials are letting egos dictate the flow and focus of games.

• Lack of accountability: Frustration peaks because players and coaches face heavy fines for public criticism or minor infractions, while major officiating mistakes carry no direct financial accountability.

I guess I need to give officials personality test to make sure they're not Ego Maniacs before hiring them. LOL

So what's going to happen this weekend are they going to keep calling a crazy amount of penalties or they going to pay attention to the coaches and executives and chill out

Yeah, I think he sees it as a teaching moment. It's interesting to me, MM as a teacher. As soon as he got in the locker room it was about using it to be a better team.

He literally said on the radio yesterday that he is excited about finding a solution. Cool that he is highly motivated to solve problems. I think Dan Wilson thought ignoring or avoiding them and praying they would go away was the way to handle them...
