There have been great players to never play in a WS but he has to have the saddest career ever for a great player...
Totally agree. Which is why I don’t understand why he’s not desperate to be traded to a team that has the potential to go to the World Series. I don’t understand his loyalty to the.Angels, but he definitely does not seem interested in being traded.

Imagine if the Dodgers reunited him with Ohtani.
He lives in a mansion overlooking the ocean in Dana Point.

He gets paid $37M a year to play on one of the most low stakes teams in baseball in one of the most desirable locations on earth. He's also immortalized and loved there.

I think we overestimate the desire to win by these guys. Julio's DJing should tell you enough about that.

Dana Point is one of the most spectacular spots in Southern California.

I like the plan; I like the reasoning and I like the players you propose adding. I have been a fan of Neto’s and was thinking about ways we could have made a blockbuster plan to get him at the trade deadline. I couldn’t come up with one. He is a marquee player, and one the Angels could build around with their new leadership.

Moreover, they would never part with Trout and he would never leave the Angels. He still fills seats and sells jerseys. Any time questions or speculation about trading him have come up, Trout has indicated that he would not wave his no trade clause. He wants to stay, and they want him to retire an Angel.

I see that the Yankees are not going to give a qualifying offer to Jazz Chisholm. I can see the Mariners signing him. I emphatically do not want them to, but they love taking flyers on players who have had down seasons or who are at the tail end of their careers, hoping they have a little more gas in the tank.. Jerry loves a bargain, even if the results are disastrous.
I have never seen the stuff about never leaving LAAAAAAAA and I don’t get it. Maybe he loves the Med. Climate and Hollywood scene or what not. But I agree with if that ownership group says we want to be Trout 4 life they could. I might think they take the Astros approach and trade everything tank for a few years and get better chances for top 3 pack for 2-3 years. Plus, their pay drops and maybe this ownership group thinks about that as a piggy bank to augment the team in a few years once the new core is in place. But as always none of us have any idea about what direction the other guys want to go, or even our own side. How everyone is valued, etc. Thanks for replies and thoughts to everyone.

Yeah there is another pretty good team in LA that would require that he moves.....
