JS already looks an ass for not thinking Walker could be a feature back when he had him for cheap. So now he's going to go back on his policy of not allocating payroll to RBs (along with interior OL)? Seems unlikely.

That to me doesn't sound like a guy that's likely trading for a $22 mil RB. How about a $18 mil guard? Quenton Nelson is probably availablerunning back is a position where you can find guys

Seahawks sign a FB to the practice squad, Jackson Ackers. FB is another position I think they could be hurting, they miss Robbie Ouzts. With players last season like Outz and Bradford I felt the Seahawks had developed into a bruising physical style kind of a team on offense. They don't seem like that these days. this seasons edition gives up their lunch money

actually they added two FBs. Locked on Seahawks speculating this could indicate a fairly significant move to address their weak run game as well as their pass protection issues. it is the sort of move that doesn't surprise me

I still think Bradford would make an imposing fullback, and now that they have two other guys that can play RG the time has arrived to give it a shot. Just don't give him the ball as he might start running in the wrong direction.

Here's MM on signing a FB, gives them opportunity to run two FB sets

Well, Taylor was recently signed to a two year deal ($44 million, 39 guaranteed). That's a lot of dough. If SEA wasn't willing to pay Walker...XpertDBA wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2026 1:36 pmI keep seeing random posts (and I'm sure I shouldn't be taking them seriously) about how the Seahawks should be doing everything they can to acquire Jonathan Taylor from the Colts. What's everyone's opinion on that, or is it even a realistic possibility?
I really have no confidence in our run game with only Charbs coming back from injury (he was already a plodder with not a lot ability to be elusive) and a rookie that can't hold onto the ball. Emanuel Wilson isn't much different than Charbs, a plodder that will fall forward for 3-4 yards at a pop.
This team would go multi-rungs up the interesting scale with a dynamic RB (Which we lost in KW, but I realize he didn't want to timeshare here......and why would that have been a problem again?). Any chance the Seahawks would ever do another blockbuster trade with all those draft picks we have stashed away?

Maybe things will change, but we sure run a lot of plays from the gun to believe a FB is going to have an impact.

It's kinda like the Grubb situation. They would talk about it but Grubb didn't seem capable of doing it. MM says this will allow them to run two FB sets. That makes sense it seems in terms of getting back to last seasons approach. Will it actually produce resultsMichael K. wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2026 4:16 pmMaybe things will change, but we sure run a lot of plays from the gun to believe a FB is going to have an impact.
