Gregg Bell is the TNT Hawks beat writer and he has been kissing Inslee's ass while saying it has nothing to do with politics. Inslee initially came out with the limit of 250 people for social gatherings. Worst Governor in the states history imo.

Re: Virus Schmirus
can you imagine what it take to suspend liquor sales in say Washington? Battles in govt, law suits...it go on and on...Here the governor rolls over in bed, decides there is a "crisis" so naturally no more liquor, and its gone, like that. Same with this deal about me being house arrested. The governor can just decide that and its done, its like having a king. It is strange living under a different system. Though on the other hand, it could save my life. That was what i was getting at with Trump, he could be correct about instituting a serious quarantine, but he isn't going to be able to get it done, not in america, here it gets done

Yep that is why I didn't get people freaking out when he won. Checks and balances. btw what is the logic behind banning liquor?Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sun Mar 29, 2020 1:37 pmcan you imagine what it take to suspend liquor sales in say Washington? Yeah, its like that here, weird collection of decisions, interesting to see it there...though it probably makes more sense to ban booze than ban fishing...D-train wrote: ↑Sun Mar 29, 2020 1:27 pmhttps://jonathanturley.org/2020/03/29/w ... -outbreak/

Re: Virus Schmirus
has to do with the filipino personality i guess...if you want them to stay home and go to bed you take their booze away. Where you or I would be happy to stay home and knock a few down, a filipino would seek out a party to do it, they do not do their drinking alone at homewhat is the logic behind banning liquor?

It’s becoming a little more clear that the estimates of death rates were way off. This virus is bad when added to preexisting problems, regardless of age. If you vape, smoke a lot of pot or basically abuse your respiratory system then likely your bodies ability to fight this virus will be compromised. If you have diabetes or other real problems than your chances of survival go down. However for most afflicted with this virus it appears to be no worse than the flu. I am becoming a convert to mr. trains idea of quickly going back to normal, sooner rather than later. When a lunatic governor like Insley shuts down construction and fishing, when neither activity would appear to cause spreading. Idaho has followed suite with closing restaurants, but fishing and most construction continues. We may not be back by Easter, but we easily could be near normal by May.

but your death rate is a function of having adequate health care facilities, if you allow your health care system to be swamped then i would think the death rate increases. The need for quarantine is a function of medical facilities. If you have unlimited facilities then there is no need for a quarantine. As I understand it, the american facilities are already under strain

The general contractor notified me on Friday that the crew at my house would be shut down for two weeks. I told my parents to head down to check things out to give them an excuse to get out of the house. When the got there yesterday there were three dudes working away.Coeurd’Alene J wrote: ↑Sun Mar 29, 2020 1:53 pmIt’s becoming a little more clear that the estimates of death rates were way off. Yep May for normalcy and June for baseball.

The health care system isnt/won't be swamped. Stop listening to the news. It's not happening.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sun Mar 29, 2020 2:05 pmbut your death rate is a function of having adequate health care facilities, if you allow your health care system to be swamped then i would think the death rate increases.
