Re: Virus Schmirus
Been thinking about the 100-200k deaths they have been pushing with zero data to back it up. Everyone freaks out and says that horrible Trump, how could he kill 200k Americans???
Well it just occurred to me that it could be a brilliant two fold strategy.
1. It scares the idiots into social distancing.
2. When the deaths end up being 10-15k Trump looks like a hero for saving over 100k lives.
Fauci and Brix go along with it knowing that estimate might be possible with no social distancing because of #1. Exaggerate to saves lives. The ends justify the means.
Trump obviously loves it because of #2.

Dr. Fauci pushes back at Acosta questions around the U.S. not acting early. “In a perfect world, it would have been nice to have known what was happening there (in China). We didn’t. But I believe, Jim, that we acted very early.”

I'm no fan of the Chinese government, but ultimately you have to make your best choices on the information that you have. Still, the U.S. reaction at the start of this pandemic was flawed. It appears that the catch-up effort is working, at least somewhat, but this is not over yet by a long shot.D-train wrote: ↑Tue Mar 31, 2020 11:07 pmHarmeet K. Dhillon Retweeted

You know, I like Acosta and I watch some CNN along with multiple other news networks... but the guy does tend to ask "gotcha" questions. Jim, Jim, Jim... ask questions leading us to new information, please. The stuff he asked the last two days is already public knowledge.

A little uptick in new cases today. 23k so far but still under my 32k estimate. My model is about a day ahead of reality.Oso Dorado wrote: ↑Tue Mar 31, 2020 11:15 pmI'm no fan of the Chinese government, but ultimately you have to make your best choices on the information that you have. Worldmeter is under reporting recoveries. They have only 6431 recoveries along with the 3850 deaths. If that was the true ratio we would be doomed.

I'm not sure about his politics, but a piercing was named after Prince Albert.
