Let's see here.........Dems want to give more rights and benefits to illegals who don't have to pay taxes. At the same time, they want to increase taxes on US citizens who have to pay taxes to support this country.Double Mocha Man wrote: ↑Tue Apr 14, 2020 9:13 pmPerhaps there's a different way of looking at that??? Maybe Democrats just want to try to solve more of the problems that the poor and middle class have. It follows that government institutions would increase in size to handle this. But that doesn't mean Democrats are trying to curtail freedoms. It doesn't mean they're increasing the size of government for the sake of increasing the size of government. Maybe they're trying to increase freedoms for certain groups of people so they can experience a better life. Not everyone can pull themselves up by their bootstraps. It's a nice ideal in a civilized world.BaseHitDerby wrote: ↑Tue Apr 14, 2020 9:06 pmThe govt wants more power? Dems want a bigger govt whereas Republicans want a smaller one. Dems want more govt interference in the free market and people's lives, whereas Republicans want less.Double Mocha Man wrote: ↑Tue Apr 14, 2020 8:58 pm
Hmmm... why is it always assumed the gub'mint wants to curtail freedoms? Maybe I'm naive. Maybe I don't buy into too many conspiracy theories. Maybe I'm not that paranoid. I do keep my eyes open.

People should be given the choice in a free society. Not a bunch of idiots that need the government to tell them what to do.Double Mocha Man wrote: ↑Tue Apr 14, 2020 4:15 pm... and everyone would have to be seated one seat in on the aisles. Granted there is six feet of distance between aisle seats but who knows what sneezing vendors or fans are walking up and down the aisles?
btw the stock market has now recovered more than half of its losses.
If there is anyone reading this who can explain the other side of this thought I'd love to hear it. All the Karen's on facebook shout that we have to close slides and fishing spots and apparently people's own homes but dont explain how my golf outing affects THEM.
If somebody is too scared to ride in a boat until 2027, fine. Why do I have to stop riding in a boat until 2027?

Apparently we are in this thing until 2022 boys

Tarvaris Jackson is dead because he took the risk of driving in a car. Thankfully he was alone and didn't "infect" anyone else by crashing his car into theirs.
38,000 people is 12,000 more than have died of the virus.
More than 38,000 people die every year in crashes on U.S. roadways. The U.S. traffic fatality rate is 12.4 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants. An additional 4.4 million are injured seriously enough to require medical attention.

Not to mention he will probably be classified as a corona death since he coughed once last Tuesday.

This is the one that kills me. I stumbled across this while cycling on Vashon about ten years ago, hung around for three hours, watched the dogs go through their paces, and was hooked. I go almost every year since. We now help sponsor two dogs (it’s like being part owner of a race horse, but for the impoverished), but root hard for every dog out there. It’s really something.D-train wrote: ↑Tue Apr 14, 2020 11:08 pmOK this cuts deep. Just got an email that this event might get cancelled:
