Official 2020 NFL Draft thread
Re: Official 2020 NFL Draft thread
How is this for two rounds. Traded our 2.59 to pick Becton who was ranked 12th. I finally figured out that you choose 7 if you want to do a full draft. I thought it was one round at at time initially. lol

Easy breezy, I just traded up to draft a mega beast with a 6.70 rating! Only cost a 59 pick that they would have used to draft another guard.Michael K. wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 10:57 pmI will tell you this, running a few of those mocks will give you a new found respect for GMs. We say things like "just trade up" or "just trade down". Someone else has to want to as well. It is really pretty amazing how many times Schneider is able to accomplish that. I posted a few mocks in that Danny O'Neill thread yesterday, because I tried to use the trade down philosophy. I was able to add several picks, and move down in spots were there were a lot of guys I wanted, so I didn't mind. It doesn't always work out.D-train wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 10:39 pmSee this is where trading up a few spots makes sense...Michael K. wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 6:26 pm
Would be nice. Not sure he is still going to be on the board when we pick...even if we don't trade down.
All it takes is for a few GMs to think as highly of Gross-Matos as we do, and refuse to budge off the spot. On that note, it also only takes one or two GMs to pass on a position many thought they wanted and for a player at that position to be taken for a highly rated guy to fall. See Rodgers, Aaron...Smith, Alex.

And now? DT is hooked on the draft simulator! I love it DT...work the trade up angle. I had Becton fall to me at our 27 pick once. That draft was ridiculous. You just don't know. I've seen Becton go as high as five and as low as 27. I've seen Gross-Matos go 8, or 27! In mocks neither of those guys would fall below me, unless they are both available. I've traded down and still got the T from USC, and I've traded down to 32 and still not wanted anyone that bad but been happy enough with the number of guys I was OK with to trade down more.

were there any other takers for the contest? Seemed like a pretty good contest to get in on, anybody else bother?

This one was from a few days ago. It is probably my favorite, thought I usually like to get a WR.
I don't think I made one trade...but I might have and just deleted the "trade icon" that appears when I copied it.SEA 27. Mekhi Becton OT Louisville

SEA 64. Raekwon Davis DT Alabama
SEA 92. Tyler Biadasz C Wisconsin
SEA 133. Anthony McFarland RB Maryland

SEA 214. Tanner Muse S Clemson
It's weird how hard trades are.

I looked for the thread quickly and couldn't find. If you could find it and bump it that would be awesome. I am the guy that can stare into the fridge for ten minutes and never see the Mayo I am looking for which ends up being front and center. lolDonn Beach wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 11:47 pmwere there any other takers for the contest? I was most proud that I wound up with two guys named AJ! LOLMichael K. wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 11:47 pmAnd now? DT is hooked on the draft simulator! I love it DT...work the trade up angle. Haha, my son was doing a draft downstairs a day or two ago and texts me "dad, the Bengals just drafted a CB named AJ Green!" Haha
