I like the idea of staying young.... rather than bringing middle age free agents.... Assembling a whiz kid machine and spending the money on keeping the guys together....but that's just me....

Right now I am so far up on cloud nine after 17 days of watching Ronnie O'Sullivan's journey to the World Championship.. everything looks rosy to me... It's been seven years since his last world championship and he's taken some brutal beats in those years....I just elated......

I actually think they have a number of quality young pieces... Moore and Lopes have been nice surprises...

We're losing at a high rate because Dee Gordon, Mallex Smith and Vogey have ruined this offense... and we have 4 bullpen arms with ERA's over 12 + Justin Dunn.

Yeah, but as you have said, there's a lot of good stuff going on there already... drop in a few more young pieces that work next season and the ship won't be that full of holes.... might even stay afloat...

Grotz, Shaw, Cortes, Swanson have combined for 32 earned runs in 25 total innings... lol that's honestly the difference between being .500 and not.

As for relievers I like... Williams, Magill, Margevicius, Ramirez, Gilbeau... and I like Altavilla/Gerber despite some struggles.

I guess we got him in the Elias/Strickland trade... he was a top-30 prospect in the Nats org and is a top-30 in the M's org... 95 from the left side w. plus offspeed stuff? Can't complain.

I don't think Gilbeau will finish this inning....But the ballpark gave Dylan Moore enough room to run that drive by Mookie Betts... Inning over... Gilbeau survives...

Kyle Lewis dropping his K rate as dramatically as he has after the firs 10 games is impressive. Was over 40 % for a while, and now is probably about 25 %?!
