Tiny sample size but France has been good defensively

I think we finally have a Seager replacement. Check where he ranks. Note that players will appear multiple times if they have played multiple positions.

If he plays even close to average defense and hits like he's probably going to, we struck gold. I still can't believe the Padres coughed him up thinking Nola was better, although they did need a catcher.

He was just completely blocked behind there solid gold infield.

Oops Nola is slumping pretty hard for them hitting .189/.654. Torrens is 6 years younger and is hitting .278/.757 for us. Bummer for them.

I would want to see more of him playing 3B and a larger sample size before I'm ready to cast my lot with him at third, but I will say, the data is encouraging. He looks like he has a body type that might bulk up a little as he gets older, which might limit his mobility at 2B, but not be too much a hindrance at third, since he would have to go to his left primarily, and not range too much. I will say that I like what I've seen of him so far at 2B, although a small sample as well.

At a bare minimum he is a cross between Ozzie and Brooks Robinson relative to Vogey and even if he is primarily DH he can spell guys at three of the four INF position. Oh and he can hit like a DH. Win Win. Great trade.

Fance has been spanking the ball all year, first with the Padres, then with the M's.

Trammell was the number 5 prospect for the Padres and a top 50 prospect in all of baseball.... He gives the M's incredible outfield depth in the farm system... Only Kelenic and Rodriguez are rated ahead of him.

Anthony Munoz was slated as the Padres future closer, pitched in twenty or more MLB games before his Tommy John surgury. We all know how successful Tommy John has become over the last decade.... many if not most of pitchers recover stronger than before and Munoz was clocked many times over 100 mph even up to 104 mph before his procedure...

And Torrens has done a fabulous job stepping into the number one role behind the plate. This for Nola and a couple of veteran relievers, neither of which are vital to the M's future plans...

This has not been a good trade.... this was a fleecing, a great trade that may turn into a franchise changer...

Speaking of successful surgeries, it looks like Shed's hand eye coordination is much better after his surgery.

Well, what are they waiting for? Sign France to a 6-year contract like White.

I’m wondering if they’re going to use the Marseillaise as his walkup music next year...or maybe give away berets for Ty France night. :)
