Logan Gilbert dealin' for the Nuts tonight.
In 3 innings so far he has 6 K's, giving up 4 hits (2 doubles) and 1 run. Modesto leads Stockton 4-1.

Gilbert ended up going 6.1 innings, 5 hits, still just the 1 run, walked 1 and had 8 K's.

West Virginia swept a double header against the Hagertown Suns, 9-3 and 2-1.
J-Rod had 4 hits, going 2-3 in each contest (7 innings each). One hit went for a double.
On the day he scored 2 runs, 2 RBI's, walked once, K'd once.
He played CF in the first game and RF in the second one.

Ryne Inman pitched a complete game (7 innings) in the nightcap, a 2-hitter. Suns scored a run but it was unearned because of a catcher's throwing error.

How long do you wait to promote him? They said he was a fast mover. They start him in Full A for 5 starts, Promote him to A+ 8 starts so far.

Good game for Gilbert and I wonder how long before Julio joins Kelenic in Modesto.

I don't know if there is a place for him im Arkansas. McGaughan,Dunn, Moore, Sheffield, Crismatt and Sanchez already there as starters. Moore can go to AAA and suck for all I care but not sure in any of the other 5 are ready. Crismatt is first that should be promoted though imo.

I bet it's the near the end of July or August.

Edit, also, Newsome and Murfee probable need to be promoted to Arkansas sooner than Gilbert

Julio is younger and only has 15 games in WV. He may not be promoted this season. If he takes for another 45 games, maybe in August the earliest, but is Kelenic still there at that point?

Until they start extending him, I don't like the idea of a promotion. He's barely going 5 innings or 90 pitches right now. When you're not seeing a lineup 3x, there's still a way to push him without promoting him. He needs to get tested with more innings. How does he do pitching that 6th and 7th inning vs. the 3-4-5 hitters that 3rd time? That's what I wanna see
