Who will win the presidential election
Re: Who will win the presidential election
Guess it's not so far-fetched after all.

Re: Who will win the presidential election
Trump should have said that he has the obligation to reject fraudulently chosen electors. What authority does he have to accept fraud?
Will Pence do the right thing? I wouldn't hold my breath. It would be fantastic if this coup attempt ended in a whimper. But the elites on both sides of the aisle have everything to lose. We're going to have tons of drama tonight and tomorrow but Biden will be confirmed. The media will once again pronounce the election over.... only it's not going to be over after tomorrow.
The Senators need to go on record. This will be cathartic Any Republican voting against transparency in the election can kiss their 2024 hopes good bye. Actually, they probably wont have a political career after helping Joebama. They all have a huge decision to make. My bet is that more than the 100 Reps and dozen or so Senators will take a stand.

I guess we shouldn't be surprised if nothing is resolved tomorrow and they do what Ted Cruz and Jenna Ellis recommended- Pence delays the count to do a 10 day audit.
Re: Who will win the presidential election
Interesting that this isn't the first time this has happened. After reading this article I think this is very likely what happens tomorrow.
Precedent was set in Hawaii in 1960 when VP Nixon was in the same position and apparently rather than accept or deny, he simply asked that they be accepted unanimously. Which, we know won't happen.
We haven't been understanding these Senators and House reps correctly when they say they will object.
Rather than accept or reject himself in the end, Pence will ask for unanimous consent to accept the electoral slates from the contested states.
It's at that point that if they object, VP Pence is not the fall guy, it came down to 100+ house reps and several senators.
I have a feeling "unanimous consent" will be the term of the day tomorrow. Very straightforward.
At that point it comes down to the House vote when nobody receives 270 electoral votes.
It didn't end up mattering in 1960. This year it's very relevant.

Re: Who will win the presidential election
That sounds like a great idea. Trump can also win if Pence kicks the contested states back to their state legislators to decide.Rather than accept or reject himself in the end, Pence will ask for unanimous consent to accept the electoral slates from the contested states.
The mask is off Pence now. The only way he will cooperate is if Trump has leverage over him. That's why Trump said he hopes that Pence will do the right thing. He doesn't know.
Here's hoping that the Senators will come to their senses, even some Democrats. I don't see that happening. Even after Wisconsin flips on Thursday they will say, "so what, the election is over. " Why would they change messaging? They can't... they go to the gallows.

Interesting that Lou Dobbs said “We’re eight weeks from the election, and we still don’t have verifiable, tangible support for the crimes that everyone knows were committed — that is, defrauding other citizens who voted with fraudulent votes," ... "We know that’s the case in Nevada, we know it’s the case in Pennsylvania and a number of other states, but we have had a devil of a time finding actual proof."
In other words: we KNOW it. But in 8 weeks we haven't come up with evidence. Oh ... kay. How about this alternative explanation: How about reconsidering that what we "know" to be true might not actually be true? Maybe even if there is a "deep state", and the media hates Trump, etc., etc., maybe Biden won a basically fair election?

Don't be a simp. You don't even have to do any research, they put it in one place for you.gil wrote: ↑Tue Jan 05, 2021 11:56 pmInteresting that Lou Dobbs said “We’re eight weeks from the election, and we still don’t have verifiable, tangible support for the crimes that everyone knows were committed — that is, defrauding other citizens who voted with fraudulent votes," ... Thanks. I had not seen this before. Why doesn't Dobbs know about this?bpj wrote: ↑Tue Jan 05, 2021 11:57 pmDon't be a simp. If the election was fair it would have been decided two months ago.
Haven't come up with evidence in 8 weeks? That's completely crazy. We had evidence of fraud within 48 hours of the election and the evidence has grown exponentially ever since.
I'll give you the argument that election fraud hasn't been proven, but this notion that it doesn't exist is dishonest all around. The better question is why hasn't a court heard the evidence? Why do they keep passing? What are the Democrats trying to hide?
Wouldn't you agree that Biden needs the support of the majority of Americans in order to be the true president? After tomorrow, less than half the country will believe in Biden's president select status. That's probably already the case given the mass disinformation psyop we've been put through. That's the problem, gil, before we even get to the election results there was fraud all over the place. The entire media establishment should not be running cover for a political party. I know you agree with their policies but you shouldn't agree to their tactics.
