Has Mather done anything positive for the club that merits ownership keeping him? Why hasn't he just been fired immediately?

The players are backing other players up and showing a divide against Mather. Fire his ass already before this gets really ugly

His his idea to make employees walk five blocks to their cars late at night instead of park in the garage across the street has probably brought in a few thousand in revenues over the years. I am sure the owners appreciate that type of bean counter thinking.WoodinvilleCoug wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 6:14 pmHas Mather done anything positive for the club that merits ownership keeping him? They could pay the money to park if they want I'm sure. They have hundreds of employees. Over the course of a season, that is hundreds of thousands of dollars. They should probably offer a shuttle for the employees for parking further away, and have a parking lot further to be honest, but not having them park at the stadium in the premium spots? That is what you'd expect.D-train wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 6:20 pmHis his idea to make employees walk five blocks to their cars late at night instead of park in the garage across the street has probably brought in a few thousand in revenues over the years. Wow...just read the transcript.
Did somebody lace his cornflakes with Sodium Pentothal or some other juicy barbiturate?
Has he been fired yet?
What a dumbshit.

The Mariners have been a shitstorm organization for years... wish they'd exhibit some humility upstairs, fucking embarrassment.

He referred to it as "my tiny little parking garage across the street" so does that mean he personally owns it and gets all the revenue? And who would pay $30-50 a day to park?D-train wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 6:20 pmHis his idea to make employees walk five blocks to their cars late at night instead of park in the garage across the street has probably brought in a few thousand in revenues over the years. That's pretty typical for event parking.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 6:56 pmHe referred to it as "my tiny little parking garage across the street" so does that mean he personally owns it and gets all the revenue? We can all agree on something then, but i don't think it helps that the media casts everything he said in the worst possible light. How many of the players will bother to watch the video or read the transcript? Probably very few.Sexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 5:42 pmAgreed!! 100%Captain 97 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 5:22 pmWhether or not the various things that he said were true or represent ownership is irrelevant. Whether or not we feel he went to far is also irrelevant. Literally the only thing that matters about this is the PR damage that has been done in terms of relationships with players.
Will these comments create animosity with existing players that makes it harder to sign them to extensions?
Will these comments cause potential free agents to shy away from Seattle?
I feel like the answer may be yes and if it is he has to go.

So he was only talking about days when there are games? I thought he meant every day, which is considerably worse.D-train wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 6:59 pmThat's pretty typical for event parking.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 6:56 pmHe referred to it as "my tiny little parking garage across the street" so does that mean he personally owns it and gets all the revenue?
