I have 2 kids in elementary school who wear masks throughout the day. I coach 2 baseball teams and 2 flag football teams where the kids have to wear masks the entire time. No kids have bitched, whined, or cried about it. For now, it is what it is. Jesus Christ, it's a fucking mask. Wah.
I coach at the HS, and Coaches have to wear them full time. It is what it is...pretty much makes sunglasses obsolete, and damn it gets hot. The kids have to wear them unless they are in "competition". During conditioning we had one kid have a severe asthma reaction last week. Outside, more than three feet apart, and we are asking an asthmatic to wear a damn mask to save face. That is all this is is a CYA. What sucks is it is deemed OK because it is better than the complete shut down we were in last year at this time.

First it was go home for two weeks and we will be fine. Then it was stay home, but if you have to go out you have to wear a mask. Then? That wasn't enough so it is get the vaccine, stay at home most of the time...oh, and wear a mask too. The inconsistency, IMO, is what makes these people and their "science" so hard to believe.
Not disagreeing with any of that - it's frustrating. But as coaches, volunteers, and community leaders - it is what it is. Right now, it's either 'wear a mask and play' or 'don't play'. There isn't any room for fake tough guy "I'll never be a muppet and wear a mask" antics. Just b/c I provide my kids with a mask, ensure all kids on the team as well as the other volunteers wear their mask - doesn't mean I enjoy it or agree with it. It's just where we are right now and I choose to stay positive, coach, and make the best out of it for the kids at this point in time. Any other response right now is selfish IMO.

That's not where we are right now though.

That's where you are.

"Just because I provide the kids with a mask, and enforce it, doesn't mean I enjoy it"

Lol,

Lol, such a muppet.
So you live in an area that doesn't enforce masks. Good for you. I live in an area that does - if the kids want to play, they have to wear them right now. How does that make me a muppet?

Good one - you know nothing about me. Your muppet, lib, blah blah tripe is lazy. Not suprised - hopefully someday you'll be able to see your toes. Good luck.

I know everything about you. You would have done whatever they told you to do all along. And have. Even while masks were obviously useless from the beginning.

You living in that area is why I called it Muppetville when you took offense. I didn't insult you.

I'll give you an up close look at my steel toe any time though muppet.

Can assure you that wouldn't happen.

I don't consort with lib bitches in a friend capacity because they're not capable of it.

They will stab you in the back as soon as they find out your leanings. You've seen it here personally ten times once they realize you're independent and not a lib bitch like them.

You're just kind enough to move past it.
