I don't care what's written in the Constitution... nobody's rights come from a piece of paper. They come from natural law. Do no harm. Do not use force unless acting in self-defense.

The Constitution wasn't implemented with the consent of the people. No "government" ever is. It's always imposed with force.

I want Seattle or Bust to answer the questions..

#1 - Where did YOU get the right to vote for someone that tells ME what to do?

#2 - Why do you want that right? Why not just let me do whatever I want if I'm not causing anyone any harm?

There is no such thing as "government".

"Government" is just a label used to legitimize criminal behavior. Get out of the flag-waving statist cult. You're smart enough to do it!

Human nature is human nature. The free market can't be made better by putting people in charge and then everyone obeying like cult member zombies. There is no magic fairy dust called "government" that makes people take power over you and then act in your best interest.

1. Because that's not how things work. It doesn't comport with the reality you live in and will die in.

2. Because that's not how things work. You were born into a society and you are privy to that societies benefits of laws and harms of laws whether you like it or not. I mean Christ man, you're on the internet right now because the government built the infrastructure for you to be here.

I don't want things to change drastically because it's a pretty good system and at every point in recorded history... people violate these "natural laws" you speak of. In your utopia self-defense shouldn't be a thing anyone considers. But we have the weak, we have the poor, we have the rich, we have the powerful, and everything inbetween. The only thing keeping these people from ripping each other to shreds is a government that for the most part keeps the peace and does a pretty OK job of making sure people live with some freedom.

You don't have the right to rob your neighbor. Your friends don't have the right to rob your neighbor. Your so-called "representatives" don't have the right to rob your neighbor. And, when your so-called "representatives" drop bombs on innocent children do you take accountability?

Again, why do you feel that you have the need to elect "representatives" to force people to do things? Why not just get all your tax money back and fund the causes that you care about?

Money will always be power. That's what money is. That's why they call it "currency" just like electricity. That's fine. Money can only do so much evil, and money can do lots of good as well.

What you want to avoid is the idea that people have the right to rule over you. This is so much more powerful than money could ever be. The idea that you would travel across the world and kill people in the name of this make-believe, pie-in-the-sky idea of a benevolent construct called "government" that is somehow better than a free market where people can make voluntary contracts and live in peace. As an advocate of statism, you are an advocate of war, violence, extoriton... That's it... There is no other reason for it.

Name one specific thing. though. You don't actually want to have a discussion about the fact that statism is causing massive atrocities and you advocate for it. That's reality. Cognitive dissonance dismissing my truth. You're putting your fingers in your ears.

It's not about fantasy vs. reality. It's about what you advocate for. Republican or Democrat... both advocate for immoral use of force.
