I think they put Dan in a very difficult position with the Miller/Castillo piggyback plan. He's trying to be a team player but probably didn't fully buy in to the front office's concept of how to manage the situation.

Guessing he isn't the one putting the absolute literal worst hitter in baseball at leadoff either. Guessing Lou didn't teach him that. Lou's last leadoff hitter was Ichiro.

It's wild the way these hitters come here and that's just it for them. I imagine Ref would do okay in a different park.
