I didn't verify this, but this is worse than I thought.

OK, let's be fair about this. Both Grubb and Kubiak have long histories being an OC. Fleury, in his fiorst season, lost hiow starting QB right out of the gate. Are we supposed to set Fleury's bar at 'ceiling' 5 games into his first season? The expectation are utterly ridiculous, IMO. I've seen some things I like and don't like. But the guy is also trying to sustaion without a running game and starting RG.

As for Shaheed - last game he had 4 targets for 23 yards, one was a huge first down. The second was a nothing burger for a yard. The third was a poor pass he defensed successfully - preventing a turnover - we scored on the drive. The fourth was incomplete.

He returned 3 kickoffs for nearly 90 yards - basically handing Seattle's offense only 2/3 of the field to go. He accounted for nearly 110 yards.
He did not run the ball at all - no handoffs, no toss sweeps, no jet sweeps. That feels like a huge mistake.

He clearly is not getting enough targets - for whatever reason. I cannot explain it.
Punting was zero dividends - but I am starting to wonder if visibility is an issue on punts on that stadium - the sun or the lights. Kickoffs have lower trajectory so less of an effect - the hight of punts may effect visibility. Sam with Darnold, I saw a lot of shadows on that field, i winder if it effects vision.

Scapegoating Shaheed because he is not getting the ball more - just utterly hilarious. But, someone must face the wrath I guess. The lack of punt returns is odd, but because they don't throw to him or hand off to him - he must be to blame for lower production. Love love love the math.

Naturally we all know what is behind the wrath - some are adament it was a 'keep rasheed or keep Walker' and we chose Shaheed - that is 100% false - but a 'narrative' that needs to be trotted out to support the faux outrage. Seattle was never going to resign walker. They play different positions, serve different functions. It's apples to orange. I think we all know this already. But, let the outrage roll on! "OMG IF IT WASN'T FOR SHAHEED WE'D BE 5-0!!!

Now all we need is "His KO TD's last year really didn't count because...."

Oh no that has nothing to do with it. I HATE him because he has a funny name, is Black and isn't very tall. I also heard his fav color is Orange and I HATE the color ORANGE. :|
I hate him because his name rhymes. His parents must have hated him.

My thoughts, exactly.
