Despite the arrow pointing in two different directions in two different ESPN models, the Scarlet Knights kept the same average position across five ranking services this week. After holding an average spot of 46.8 last week, Rutgers heads into its second game, a Saturday showdown with Akron, in the same exact spot with an average of 46.4.
Chopped through it?
“I thought our guys, as I mentioned Thursday night, they chopped through the game,” said Rutgers coach Greg Schiano on Monday, whose team led 17-7 at the half. “It wasn’t smooth. They just kept chopping through it and ultimately succeeded. Now we are headed on to the Akron season and everything we got will be poured into this season and see where it leaves us.”
They will be 2-2 at the end of the month....

They don't get past Virginia tech? Like them to be unbeaten going into the UW game. A pair of undefeated teams I think would draw interest, Udub hammers them, runs up the score lol

Rodgers was 20 for 26 almost and 80% completion rate and with 250 yards which is almost 10 yards per attempt 1 TD and no turnovers. Seems to be a solid start.
Yeah, I should have watched more. I wasn’t impressed with him in the first half.
Stats don't tell the whole story to me. He threw a lot of underneath stuff and his timing seemed off. He wasn't really hitting the receivers in stride and there was a lot of reaching back for balls etc. These stats would be good against a legit opponent but against Weber State? I wasn't too impressed.

Up to 22 in the caches poll. Still 31st in the AP. It seems odd to see such a wide disparity.

I agree. But I think the writers pretty much just copy and paste picks from one week to the next! It takes a loss to make a change. The coaches might be more apt to make the pick based on how someone looked? Even if they do delegate that stuff sometimes.

Crazy that our first B10 game is against them giving they probably the least B10ish team East of the Mississippi.

Probably will be a close game. WSU has played well so far. Our D is in for it Saturday.

I had completely spaced the wassu game, I was thinking it was northwestern next, wow. Weird so early in the season. Yeah that looks like a bit of a test, maybe comparable to Rutgers. Kyle Monangai looks to be a load
