Yes I've had the same feeling for a while now. I was actually thinking early in the game when we got our first 3 runs on home runs, wondering how many of our runs this season have been a result of home runs, versus total runs? I know the vast majority have been on the long ball. This lineup is just not consistent enough to generate extended rallies. Too many black holes.

You gotta be kidding me! Flexen pulled at 85 after pitching very, very well and Scott brings in the closer in the 6th. I guarantee he'll call in Montero if it comes down to a save situation in the 9th. Such disrespect to the game.

Graveman isn't the designated closer. He's the true definition of what we call a "Fireman.' It was the right call. Toughest part of their lineup was right there.

Hell yeah he looks like a stud! This is exactly what the lineup needed. I hope Dipoto is up their in the box thinking of to get some more firepower in this lineup to protect this kid.

Match your best arms to what you believe are the critcal points of the game, the high leverage situations. Why save the best weapon you might have available for what could end up being a meaningless 9th inning. How often is the closer, what's considered the best arm in the BP left sitting there because the game is already lost. SS might be an idiot but he understands current baseball tactics
