God it feels good to finally get a win. And what a game for JK. Mitch with another bomb. And Graveman doing his usual Superman performance. Nice win boys! Let's get the series win tomorrow and get this ship back on course!
Gary. We got to play these dudes 4 games. But I hear ya...even a split after that first game loss would be positive. 3 out 4 would be off the hook.

Oops my bad. Thought it was a 3-game series. Thanks for correcting me. After a nice win tonight, now I feel greedy. I want 3 of the 4!

Sweet game for a number of obvious reasons.

My favorite part was seeing some runs that came off non-homeruns. It was starting to seem like the only way they could drive in runs was the long ball.

Yes I've had the same feeling for a while now. I was actually thinking early in the game when we got our first 3 runs on home runs, wondering how many of our runs this season have been a result of home runs, versus total runs? I know the vast majority have been on the long ball. This lineup is just not consistent enough to generate extended rallies. Too many black holes.

You gotta be kidding me! Flexen pulled at 85 after pitching very, very well and Scott brings in the closer in the 6th. I guarantee he'll call in Montero if it comes down to a save situation in the 9th. Such disrespect to the game.
Graveman isn't the designated closer. He's the true definition of what we call a "Fireman.' It was the right call. Toughest part of their lineup was right there.

That was the worst called 3rd strike I've ever seen. Did it clip the bat?

It took JP Crawford like 80 AB's to get 2x XBH's...

Kelenic surpassed that number in 8 AB's.
Kelenic looks like a stud. Big time athlete.
Am I allowed to say I told you so?! Lol  ;)

Hell yeah he looks like a stud! This is exactly what the lineup needed. I hope Dipoto is up their in the box thinking of to get some more firepower in this lineup to protect this kid.

Match your best arms to what you believe are the critcal points of the game, the high leverage situations. Why save the best weapon you might have available for what could end up being a meaningless 9th inning. How often is the closer, what's considered the best arm in the BP left sitting there because the game is already lost. SS might be an idiot but he understands current baseball tactics
