Re: SS on JK
Dipoto could show his confidence in Kelenic by offering him that long term contract again now...
Re: SS on JK
Only make for .096 of the original offer. So if peak year was $10M a year make it $960k.

I didn't say he left it. I said he built it. When Zunino, Ackley, Hultzen, Paxton, Walker, Miller, Montero etc. were on the prospects list they were considered a top 5 system. They all had reached the Bigs and flamed out by the time Z was canned.

Jerry gets the stink eye and hopefully a short rope
That rope will be a noose if he doesn’t work some majic next year
We should be giving the Mariners a break it’s only been what 40 fucking years

So Dipoto has to trade Haniger but he also has to produce a winner next season. That seems like a mixed message to me, what is it you guys want?

Quite a corner he's backed himself into.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Tue Jun 08, 2021 5:50 pmSo Dipoto has to trade Haniger but he also has to produce a winner next season. That seems like a mixed message to me, what is it you guys want?
Practice what he preaches- longterm organizational sustainability- or change course and try to Win Now because his neck's on the line because he's kicked the can too far down the road?
The teams success shouldn't be dependent on one vet who has an expiring contract at this point imo.

I would say the "what then" is build around the guy, instead of try to find someone that might be the next guy. The problem is, Jerry doesn't make the budget.
