I think Dippo trading for him was a desperation move because of Evan White's injury and his thinking a firstbaseman was needed.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 08, 2021 7:01 pmAnd what's worse is that he's not even barely good enough. He's only here because DiPoto doesn't want to admit he screwed up trading for him. Meanwhile, Marms has a 1.167 OPS at Tacoma and isn't letting up.
He chose poorly. Don't know if DC-S will ever amount to anything but Marmo would have been able to to equivalent of BowWowers at 1B and the OF, also would have provided more power. I'd like to see them switch places.
Here's the trade (Jake Bauers has actually been involved in 2 trades involving the M's):
December 13, 2018: Traded as part of a 3-team trade by the Tampa Bay Rays to the Cleveland Indians. The Tampa Bay Rays sent cash to the Seattle Mariners. The Seattle Mariners sent Carlos Santana and cash to the Cleveland Indians. The Cleveland Indians sent Yandy Díaz and Cole Sulser to the Tampa Bay Rays. The Cleveland Indians sent Edwin Encarnacion and 2019 competitive balance pick to the Seattle Mariners.
June 10, 2021: Traded by the Cleveland Indians to the Seattle Mariners for a player to be named later. The Seattle Mariners sent Damon Casetta-Stubbs (minors) (July 9, 2021) to the Cleveland Indians to complete the trade.
