Hope your right but I doubt Billy Beane/David Forst are going to trade Matt Olson for Adam Macko and Milkar Perez or Juan Then when he can get one of the top 3 prospects from a half dozen other teams..
Matt Olson and Luis Castillo are available for trade

I don't disagree.D-train wrote: ↑Tue Nov 09, 2021 6:23 pmHope your right but I doubt Billy Beane/David Forst are going to trade Matt Olson for Adam Macko and Milkar Perez or Juan Then when he can get one of the top 3 prospects from a half dozen other teams..
But I also think guys like Hancock, Stoudt and Williamson are not part of the "prominent" guys in our system and will be considered trade bait when it comes down to it.

Agree on Stoudt and Williamson but guessing JD thinks all of his first round picks are prominent and I will do a million cartwheels if we are able to get Olson for Stout and Williamson.bpj wrote: ↑Tue Nov 09, 2021 6:26 pmI don't disagree.

One of these windy Mets fans thinks Olson is going to trigger a contest between the Red Sox and the Yankees, that Oakland won't trade to the M's because they're in the same division, and that ultimately the Brewers will end up with Olson over the Padres because the Padres won't be able to find a home for Hosner... there, I saved you 5 or 6 minutes of audio abuse....

These are the types of trades we can expect with our second tier prospects. Flawed players. The kid can hit but zero power and would rather eat a rotten egg than take a walk.

So we get Olson for Stoudt and or Williamson plus whatever non top 100 prospects or Ford and you win. Anything else you lose.

I thought you were making the deal FOR it to happen? The likely hood of M. Olson coming to Seattle is so small. I doubt he ever makes it into Mariner blue.
