Agreed, but the equalizer is that we're also competing with GM's whose top prospect may not be top 4 or 5 in our system, which imo are the only ones Dipoto means are untouchable. The "prominent" guys.

Hope your right but I doubt Billy Beane/David Forst are going to trade Matt Olson for Adam Macko and Milkar Perez or Juan Then when he can get one of the top 3 prospects from a half dozen other teams..

But I also think guys like Hancock, Stoudt and Williamson are not part of the "prominent" guys in our system and will be considered trade bait when it comes down to it.

Agree on Stoudt and Williamson but guessing JD thinks all of his first round picks are prominent and I will do a million cartwheels if we are able to get Olson for Stout and Williamson.

I thought you were making the deal FOR it to happen? The likely hood of M. Olson coming to Seattle is so small. I doubt he ever makes it into Mariner blue.
