So far I'm not disappointed we've missed out on any of them except Belt.

Desclafini would've made a fine Kikuchi replacement, but I'd rather they aim higher anyways.

So far starting pitching prices lower than I expected.

Hopefully that means Gausman and Rodon are in our budget.

Heaney, Pina.
They are not the difference makers I am thinking about. Pina is a 91 OPS+ catcher and we have a 97 OPS+ catcher. Heaney has a 90 ERA+.

Even Alex Wood has a 112 ERA+ career.

At this point we'll be lucky to retain Tyler Anderson. Kirby and Brash not far from making their debuts. But we at least need to grab two starters. Jerry said he was surprised Yusei didn't re-sign which tells me they were gonna roll with him going into next season if true.

Steven Matz supposed to come off the board this week.

OK, next time you should be more specific in your OP.

John Means has been brought up by forum members and seems like a fine mid-rotation addition.

Sounds like giving up homeruns are his issue, which may be eased some going from Baltiless to Seattle.

I'd still prefer adding an ace, but Means would probably be a better second addition than Tyler Anderson.

I'd take both and call it a day. And when one of the rookies is ready, move Anderson to the pen to become a lefty specialist and starter insurance in case one of them is injured and goes on the DL.

Good points big sexy.

If that's the best they can get their hands on, at least its an upgrade from opening day 2021, that's what we're really after in the end.

I hope they aim high, but we should have a solid team regardless.
