I was wondering why Stroman didn't go deep into games. If they were limiting his innings over the season with short starts instead of disrupting his 5 day schedule like Dipoto and Servais thought was so brilliant, it would make some sense.

Maybe he's capable of being more of a workhorse than he looked in 2021.

Yeah Flexen pitched the same # of innings despite 2 less starts due to the 6 man.

neither of them are aces, I don't know who is calling anybody an ace, they are both good pitchers, i don't see the issue of comparing them

Oh, interesting. Yes and they had the great Edwin Diaz as Closer so you would almost never have a starter pitch a complete game.

Taylor can do it all but Story has never played anywhere but SS. I can see Taylor > Bryant but can't see Story as the better option.

I saw a thing the other day, meant to post it but forgot. It was a way to deal with the extreme Rockies home and away splits. It was pretty wacky, not sure it was serious. You would use a platoon system, it have to include AAA players you could bounce back and forth I guess. You would have different players for away games. What I am getting at is, the thinking these days is there is an aspect to playing your home games at Coors field that makes it difficult to hit on the road.
