I said the same thing. Like I have said about 17 times, in mid July he was untradeable, now is is tradeable even with the poison pill. I would say there is now a 10-20% chance he gets traded this off season as opposed to negative infinity.

But there is something really annoying about someone who takes a hard line on something, can never be wrong about anything and treats everyone with a different opinion like an idiot when their opinion is different his.

It's only most of Seattle's fans that don't seem to notice how stellar his defense is. I'm glad to hear a couple here at least mention it. He's currently 3rd in UZR/150 of 28 players over 600 innings there this year. I don't think he's as disrespected by front offices in other cities as fans in his own. I thought May alone would have woken fans up to his defensive value. 2.8 WAR already in only 365 PA puts him 18th at the position among 35 Third basemen with 350+PA. This while his PA rank 34th in the group. Fans tend to ignore the defense. If you have trouble figuring what happens to front offices that ignore defense, refer back to May 2019 in Seattle. Other teams certainly see his value, contract included.

Seager had 1.8 WAR in 155 games last season it's not hard to see why fans were down on him when by his own admission he was out of shape last year. He looked so much better this ST and it's seemingly translated to a nice bounce back year.
