Contrast that speech with the complete Cowardice of my company to denounce Hamas:
We at Biogen wanted to reach out to express our deepest condolences and heartfelt empathy for the ongoing violence in Israel and Gaza. The suffering endured by countless civilians during these distressing times is truly heartbreaking, and our thoughts are with all those affected.
As an organization, we firmly condemn the violence and stand in solidarity with the victims and their families. We understand the immense pain and loss that they are experiencing, and we extend our sincerest sympathies to them.

In light of these tragic events, we believe it is crucial to foster an environment of understanding, compassion, and open dialogue. With this in mind, we would like to invite you to a listening session that we are organizing to provide a safe space for individuals to share their thoughts, concerns, and experiences related to the violence in Israel. Our aim is to create an atmosphere of empathy and support, where everyone's voice is heard and respected.

In these challenging times, our utmost concern is for the well-being and safety of everyone in the region. We sincerely hope that the violence will soon give way to lasting peace, and we remain committed to supporting initiatives that promote dialogue, understanding, and reconciliation.

Well, at least you got a listening session and a safe space. I wonder if it was OK to condemn Hamas during that listening session?

Thanks for posting the video of the speech. It's very good. Here is the transcript of Mayor Eric Adams's remarks:

https://www.nyc.gov/office-of-the-mayor ... rael-rally

He concludes with:
Your fight is my fight. That swastika not only displays the pain of antisemitism, it displays the pain of racism among African Americans. You marched with us with Dr. King. You stood with us with all the fights we have. And I'm saying we're going to stand with you and stand united together. And we don't have to be all right. We should be angry at what we saw. Thank you, Israel.

I am almost tempted to join and listen to see if any Jewish colleagues speak out.

Regarding Hamas weapons, it seems to me that there is a mixture smuggled weapons and home-made manufacturing and improvisation. This fox and friends video makes a passing reference to the possibility that M3s came from Afghanistan. https://www.foxnews.com/video/6339128685112 But the main thrust of the report seems to be Iran, smuggling, tunnels, and using (repurposing, remanufacturing) international supplies sent for humanitarian purposes.

Among the results of a poll by SSRS for CNN

https://s3.documentcloud.org/documents/ ... tified.pdf

"Do you think Israel's military response to Hamas attacks is ... fully justified"
50% overall

38% of Democrats
68% of Republicans

38% of liberals
72% of conservatives

27% age 18-34
65% age 45 +
81% age 65 +

Even without seeing the crosstabs, it appears that young, liberal Democrats are the least likely to support Israel's military response.

So, a sovereign entity gets attacked, and they aren't supposed to react and/or defend themselves? Objectively, how in the f*ck does that make any sense? Oh, right, these are the same people that burned cities like Portland to the ground and thought "Chazz" was a good idea. Their staggering level of hypocrisy is only matched by their staggering level of stupidity. Young and dumb and beyond clueless.

Can we please move all these people to Oregon and just put a big fence around it?

Many people questioning how the attacks could have happened. Some saying Netanyahu let it happen.

If the US starts funneling money to Israel, it's just going to look like a reflection of Ukraine.

The libs got all the money they could out of us for Ukraine, time to squeeze the right for some loot to support Israel and keep those defense contractors rolling in cash.
