Finally! Official Hot Stove League thread!
Re: Finally! Official Hot Stove League thread!
Make this trade and sign Snell or Gray or Yamamoto. So easy. But Stanton will have less money so they won't do it. Sickening.

Re: Finally! Official Hot Stove League thread!
Simple and easy. Could sign a DH like Soler or Martinez to a one or two year deal as well. Easy peasey.
Sign Jung Hoo Lee and slot him into LF. He will be a defensive upgrade and has a better OBP and lower K rate than anything we can trot out there.
4 bold moves and suddenly we are a contending team.
I read the other day that the Angels are not in tear down mode, and they plan to be aggressive in the offseason. So we have the juggernaut Astros, the world series defending Rangers, an aggressively spending Angels and us...the wallflower, 84-wins-will-be-copacetic team. Oh. And the A's. At least we will be better than the A's.

Stud starter to be had for cheap. Robbie Ray insurance and 2nd half pitching depth.

Bummer struck out an above-average 29.2% of batters faced this year. He has fanned just under 27% of opponents over the course of his career. He averaged 94.5 MPH on his sinker (a solid mark for a left-hander) and missed bats against hitters of either handedness. While he’s no longer posting ground-ball numbers reminiscent of peak Zach Britton, he kept the ball on the ground at a lofty 58.2% clip. That’s the 10th-highest rate among relievers who logged at least 50 innings
Another look at it, see it as a final piece kinda thing, the second leftie
https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/mich ... -reliever/The Braves now have two high-end lefty relievers in Bummer and A.J. Minter, plus 2021 postseason hero Tyler Matzek is expected to return from Tommy John surgery early in 2024, perhaps even in time for Opening Day. Quality lefty relievers are a must when you share a division with Jazz Chisholm Jr., Bryce Harper, Brandon Nimmo, and Kyle Schwarber, among others.
