was supposed to be like a four week recovery originally wasn't it...anyway, I don't mind, I like how the roll the dice, the aggressive trades and whatever, not gonna bitch about it if it go against them sometimes. Believe it works more than it doesn't considering their record, and its fun...
They got a fifth round pick for him which is pretty good for them. Thank God it wasn't a first round pick. lol

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- To say the San Francisco 49ers' schedule is about to get tougher over the next three weeks would drastically understate what's coming.

The journey the Niners are about to begin -- with games against the Green Bay Packers, Baltimore Ravens and New Orleans Saints -- could be the most difficult stretch any team has faced this late in the season in the Super Bowl era.

Through Week 11, those teams have combined for a 24-6 record (all three are 8-2), good for a winning percentage of .800. According to ESPN Stats & Information research, no team has played three straight games against teams with an .800 or better winning percentage this late in the season in the Super Bowl era. If the Ravens and Saints can win their games before facing San Francisco, the Niners would be the first team to face such a stretch.
I told you we are winning the division. Sure beats not making the playoffs which was the prediction of the 3 blind mice when it was 10-0 in the second quarter in SF.

Does this mean we draft another TE next year or no?

Depends on how much they trust the health of Dissly. With the 1st few picks . Probably not.

Is Hollister a viable option to be a starting TE in the NFL or does his size limit him to 3rd down primarily?

Size? How big should he be? 6'4" 245 . He looks like a TE to me.

They should move forward as though Dissly's career is over. When a player that young has two severe non-contact injuries in two seasons that is a pretty good indicator that he's carrying too much weight to hold up to the rigors of running and cutting.

Dissly is 265lbs. I guess Hollister looks scrawny compared to those types. Yeah I am baffled by all the non contact injuries in general. Pro athletes should be able to run around without getting injured.
