Castillo has never really been an Ace in my mind. He has been in MLB 8 years and has only gotten Cy Young votes once. He has always had Ace type stuff but has been too inconsistent to ever put it all together. He is a solid number 2 on a playoff staff team or a #1 on a bad staff.Lamda wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 6:53 pmCastillo has surprisingly taken a step backwards this year - might be good to sell while he's at peak value. He's just not as dominant this year as he was when we first got him. He started to take a step back at the end of last year it seemed and that has just continued.Captain 97 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2024 5:32 pmHonestly, they ought to look at selling at this point. This is a sellers market. Find a team that needs some starting pitching and has some top 20 prospects I'd like to deal Castillo if we could. He is too inconsistent for my liking and I'd like to dedicate his salary to some bats in the coming offseason.

Rengifo has a .982 OPS in Home games and .619 in Away games.
Which, naturally puts him as a frontrunner to be a Dipoto acquisition.
