So it begins, The official Hot Stove League Thread 2024-25 Offseason
Re: So it begins, The official Hot Stove League Thread 2024-25 Offseason
Teams know how desperate we are so guessing they are asking for a massive arm and a leg for a player we want. Sucks sadly don't see us making any moves this off season unless we finally say fuck it and deal who we don't want.

The Dodgers gave up Lux for almost nothing. They must have really, really not liked him.

The Dodgers understand how to improve imo.
They replace a guy with a signing, then trade him for an outfielder they once drafted and a draft pick between the first and second rounds.
So their MLB team doesn't suffer in the short term, but they add two solid pieces to their system.
They also offered Teoscar a QO, another thing the M's fail to do that hurts their system relative to other teams.

The organization is getting lambasted so badly that they're going to do one of two things: 1) give in and try to sign Alonso or Bregman; or 2) dumpster-dive like crazy. Could you imagine if they said they only have 15 million to spend (which is bullshit) and end up not spending any of it?
Oh, and my money is on 2).

Lambasted by who? There's so little local media of any consequence now that I doubt the front office or any of the owners feel even the slightest bit of pressure.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 1:50 amThe organization is getting lambasted so badly that they're going to do one of two things: 1) give in and try to sign Alonso or Bregman; or 2) dumpster-dive like crazy. Oh man ... not again.
Love this quote:
"The options were already thin coming into this offseason, but as more moves happen, the options are looking scarier and scarier. The time for Dipoto to make a move was a month ago, but he needs to do something before it's too late" - Tanner Vogt (Sodo Mojo)(Fansided)

Oh I can remember sitting there in '94 when Pinella took over. Chris Bosio threw the first M's No-hitter. I watched plenty of games Darren! I just need to bent my frustrations. I've defended this team for far too long. And when we're finally so close to the finish line they pull this shit!! Ive had enough!!D-train wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 2:11 amHow was the video quality on MLBtv 30 years ago? lolSexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 2:07 amI'm not paying for MLBtv or following the franchise for the first time in 30 yrs if this what they decide to put out on the field.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 1:50 amThe organization is getting lambasted so badly that they're going to do one of two things: 1) give in and try to sign Alonso or Bregman; or 2) dumpster-dive like crazy. Pete Alonso
Brandon Lowe or Luis Arraez
Yoan Moncada
Seems like the options are dwindling if they don't want to just keep falling further behind.
Traitor Jerry has just been sitting on those thumbs and spinning this offseason.
