I’ll give them more than one more game together. Just fine it complete bullshit that Grubb lead us to a top ten passing attack with an even worse run game roster than we have now….and he was public enemy #1. But we need to make excuses for Kubiak. He only thing Kubiak has done in his career is convince a lot of people his last name should get him more chances.

I want to see a QB like JJ that gave me the week 1 win in the pick em pool. lol
Dude - where are you these days? You're missing the summer heat wave, and if you don't get back here in time for fall and spring, you're totally gonna miss mudslide season! :D
I am in God's country Wenatchee. Did you see my post about yesterday being the first time the M's outscored the Hawks since Sept. 18th 2016? Do you remember where you were that day. lol
Lol, too lazy to read this whole thread, but Wenatchee is God's Country. I sold a lot of food there at Apple Blossom Festivals in the '90s. Still my favorite fair in Washington.

Great write-up, aurora, as usual. I was so pissed after that loss I had to avoid media, but spank the Steelers and all is forgiven. I still think Darnold looked like Tin Man out there. He telegraphed every hand-off, and scares me more than anyone else on offense.

Another thing is Drew Lock is kind of a throwback slinger mudbone gamer to me, so if Darnold takes another fat dump in Pitt with no playbook or creativity and we go 0-2. that's hot seat for more than him. But I like having Lock there.

Apple Blossom in the 90s. What a time! Was a lot of fun until my night in jail! Haha

I just can't get worked up about one sloppy game to start the season knowing it's all shit until at least 3-4 games into the season as we all have seen is the case anymore for reasons I've explained ad nauseam. People forget Darnold was the best FA QB avail and that Geno wanted OUT. This was the best move for the situation - and NO ONE is claiming Darnold is the next Brady. He needs a few games under his belt with this group, the entire offense needs reps together - lot's of moving parts to gel and acclimate. Stuns me no one considers ANY of this stuff - you know, basic human behavior. Those need to happen in concert with Kubiak calling a complimentary game. The absolutely ridiculous over reactions after ONE game, a four point loss - are not a commentary on the Seahawks as much as people's utterly ridiculous expectations.

Let's also not forget how BAD the overall game has become. The slow decline, players not prepared out of college for many reasons including the transfer portals. Watching woolen absolutely misplay two critical passes - reminds me of just how stupid even the most athletic players can be - they are less football players anymore than athletes posing as footballers. Imagine sherman watching woolen and just cringing. Players have gotten fucking stupid as all hell.

Then single biggest takeaway from this entire thread is some folks have absolutely insane expectations they place on others. I find a lot of this disturbing - this seething hatred and vitriol and outrage - about a rusty football team barely losing a game. I am speechless at the overreaction and the degree of anger. It is simply not warranted.

Did Apple Blossom get protested out of existence up in Wenatchee? The Apples were being victimized by the pears and cherries? There wasn't enough fruit diversity? The illegal alien fruits weren't getting enough tax-payer-funded benefits?

EVERYONE has played one game. Only one offense was worse over all than this one. EVERYONE played the exact same number of pre-season games. EVERYONE can decide how much playing time the starters get. Guys laughed at Pete for playing his starters. Go look at Vegas' number compared to our. These excuses are fucking horseshit. Excuses are for the teams that didn't do enough to be ready to play. Even playing field, and besides Miami? This staff and these players offensively?

Flacco and Cleveland held the ball for nearly fourteen more minutes than Seattle. Fucking Fourteen!
Flacco and Cleveland converted on over 26% more third downs!
Flacco and Cleveland outgained the Seahawks by almost 100 yards, and Mr Senior Citizen Flacco himself threw for 145 more yards than Darnold.
The Cleveland fucking Browns! Let that sink in. The FUCKING Cleveland Browns, with Joe Fucking Flacco! But, but, no preseason, only one game. Bullshit.
Name another NFL team that has played more games than one? I'll wait.

The single biggest takeaway for me is that this coffee sipping fan base is soft as shit. No wonder the entire lower bowl of the stadium was red on Sunday. Remind me again how only Seattle got the college kids that aren't ready to play football? Remind me why it's only one game for Seattle, but all the teams that were actually ready to play football? Probably because they actually prepared the team to play instead of spending the entire summer bullshiting about how great it would be with sixteen new offensive consultants. But? The fan base bought it, so I guess they win. They look like shit for sixty minutes on Sunday, and the fans are just fucking fine about it. What happened to this group? Everyone else besides Miami was ready to play offense on Sunday.

Your constant bitching about the game, constantly telling us you don't watch it, then constantly telling us you know more about it than those that watched. I watched. It was pathetic. It was the most basic offensive scheme I've seen since I coached Pop Warner and the other team ran the Rugby Scrub bullshit. Barry Switzer and Tom Osborne watched that game and couldn't believe how vanilla it was!

They killed it even before that fucker from Yakima became Governor and brought Apple Maggots to a fire torn town in Eastern Washington. It got pretty crazy, but not crazy enough for the militarized police presence they brought in. I got a jay walking ticket for having one foot off the sidewalk talking to someone in a car. Yes, she was a hit chick, so it was worth it. I should have taken that as a hint and stayed away. Not long later I spent a night in jail for "chirping" my tires. They smelled alcohol and threw me in the clink for DUI. Of course you smelled alcohol, the guy in the back seat was pass out drunk! I wasn't sober, but wasn't drunk. Ended up with a reckless driving ticket anyway.

I've pretty much never been to that side of the River on Apple Blossom unless work takes me there since.

The 49ers scored inside the two minute warning. At that time? Darnold had 88 yards passing. In the fucking year 2025, this offense had 88 yards passing in 58 plus minutes of football. Yep, nothing to see here, no worries...it's only one game. Losing the first one is less important than later. If we miss the playoffs by a game they will round up and let us in because our loss was week one, when it's still pre-season. Every other team in the division was ready to play football. They are all 1 and 0. I wonder if they realize they wasted all of that energy winning a Pre-Season game?

But Mike, the defense. Well? Go check the defensive stats. Of course the 9ers are ranked high, they played Kubiak's Kids. The Hawks are 25th in Total Defense. Everyone in the Division is ranked higher. So? The "bright spot" from Sunday is that there are 7 Defenses in the entire NFL that gave up more yards than we did on Sunday.

This team STUNK. And all this fan base does is make excuses. No wonder they extended a GM after missing the playoffs 3 out of four years. This team is 1 and 4 in the playoffs the past 8 years. They extended the GM after that and everyone in here threw a party. Again, I should have seen this coming.

I didn't throw a party. I wondered what unholy acts Jody made JS perform to get it. Like I said, since 2016 the Mariners have won more playoff games than the Hawks. Let that sink in.
