Two trades I'd make before the deadline.

Hawks trade for WR Rashid Shahid from the Saints.

Nice player. But, a 4th and a 5th for a guy who is a free agent at the of the year. Wow

That surprised me, but not necessarily for the price tag, but because I thought they were higher on Horton than that. I wonder if this is a sign that Kupp's injury is worse than thought?

So they in fact pull the trigger on this trade proposalDonn Beach wrote: ↑Tue Oct 21, 2025 9:17 amI'm not sure its personnel as much as its Darnold and the plays being focused on JSN. Bringing in another receiver doesn't mean he's seeing the ball anymore than Krupp. Do we miss DK? I've been wondering that.
Doesn't seem like it hurt to add another deep threat. This guy is suggesting Rashid Shaheed from the Saints, that's it Horton that needs the help, he did take MVS's job. And kubiak is familiar with him

"The Seahawks have rookie Tory Horton flashing as a big-play threat, but they could use a little more experience and extra speed to complement Jaxon Smith-Njigba in Klint Kubiak's aggressive downfield passing game. Shaheed broke out for Kubiak when the latter also was in New Orleans," Iyer wrote
From last season, kubiak and the Saints
. Said new offense had Derek Carr looking elite in all phases, with former undrafted free agent Rashid Shaheed perhaps the biggest beneficiary.
Shaheed scored the team’s second touchdown on the day, a 70-yard link with Carr. ESPN’s Katherine Terrell provided an interesting note about the touchdown: “With his 70-yard receiving TD, Rashid Shaheed has scored 11 touchdowns in his career. The average distance of his 11 touchdowns -- 51.4 yards.”
A Shaheed breakout is a best-case scenario for the Saints, as that deep threat will force defenses to adjust and let Carr further pick and choose his spots in the medium and short areas of the field, too.

It would indicate they are seriously going for it this season. This is a nightmare for opposing DC'c, this kind of add on
The 2025 Seattle Seahawks, under offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak and with quarterback Sam Darnold as the epicenter, has enjoyed one of the most explosive passing games in recent NFL history. This season so far, Darnold has completed 20 of 28 passes of 20 or more air yards for 686 yards, four touchdowns, no interceptions, and a passer rating of 153.3

How the hell do you not address the O line? Bradford is a massive liability out there.

Glad you brought that up. They have the worst guard in the league, they also have probably the most explosive offense with a qb that's been sacked what, nine times in eight games? What exactly do they have to address? For me this really gets to the heart of the issue. How much football is about coaching as opposed to talent. That to me is coaching. I think what gets lost is the remarkable job of coaching that's going on, as well as GMing. I think it's what JS has been after and now he's found the coaching to fulfill it. That's why I think they have risen to the level of the Rams and 49ers. The brain trust now is on par with those teams. I think MM is in line for coach of the year as is JS GM of the year. That's what this thing is turning onSibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Wed Nov 05, 2025 3:07 amHow the hell do you not address the O line? Bradford is a massive liability out there.

Look at the defense, you didn't believe they had the talent to begin with. So what happens, a chunk of it gets injured. Then what, it only gets more dominant, it's crazy, that's coaching. There's all these reasons for them not to be great, Bradford, the injuries, they just coach around it. That and the contributions they are getting from late round draft choices and such. Nobody here seems very impressed with the season so far. I think its been remarkable, what they have pulled off, but that's just me. The trajectory, from what Pete had left. About the worst defense in the league and a mediocre offense, to have come this far on a season and a half with a rookie HC, I think it's remarkableSibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Wed Nov 05, 2025 3:07 amHow the hell do you not address the O line? Power rankings don't matter but they are kinda interesting terms of perceptions. SI and NFL.com have the seahawks number one now, ESPN has them down 9th
