Here's the MLBTR article on the Nimmo for Semien swap that DT just mentioned: https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2025/11/ ... nimmo.html

I don't get this trade at all.

Why is Texas taking on more years for slightly less money up front of a worse player?

Helps the M's I guess... so good for them.

Why is Texas taking on more years for slightly less money up front of a far worse player?
Saves them on luxury cap hit and maybe after the shot year Simien had they feel he is toast. I wouldn’t want him at that cost

I mean, he won a GG and put up 3.3 bWAR.

Nimmo hasn't put up a respectable season since '23 when he was 30.

I’ve heard rumors they may also be looking to move Corey Seager.

I’d love another Seager in the infield, but I’d also be happy if Corey was out of the AL West.

Sadly there’s a reason these trades only happen between a select few teams.

I agree, Seager would be fun.

If Texas would be willing to take on at least 50-60% of that remaining contract sign me up tomorrow.

I've been looking at prospect reports on Ryan Sloan and for me he's untouchable. I think there's a non-zero chance that he's the #1 prospect in baseball a year from now and that he starts the 2027 season in the major league rotation.

I'm also less enthused about Skubal than the rest of you. He's good, but he's hittable.
Yeah, with the mariners going 4-0 in his starts it's hard for me to see him as invincible
That is because we are such a great hitting team though! lol

Nimmo was better in 2025. OPS was almost 100 points higher and had 3 fWAR vs. 2 fWAR.

I would like him better than Marte, unfortunate that Jerry implemented a Seager ban a few years ago. Doesn't even allow Bob's music in the clubhouse.
